Hello there, this is a rather new debacle for myself to which I have been contemplating on for the past few days.

I've recent stopped calling myself Christian due to my consistent behaviors of not being Christ like. I still believe Jesus Christ is God however..... I don't see myself going back anytime soon.

Why? It's really complex considering the plethera of emotions I feel, due to insecurity, abondonment issues, anger, hatred towards God due to not answering some of my prayers.

Can someone please explain what's going on? I've even reverted to the law of attraction.

But these videos of people trying to force their satanic agenda onto young kids, has me second guessing.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.” -- Marcus Aurelius

"Just as when you are half awake and can see a dream, and know you are dreaming, and yet are apart from it, that is how God feels this universe. On one side he is awake, and on another side he is dreaming this universe. And that is how you should look upon this world. Then you will know why he created it, and will not ascribe these dream conditions to your soul. If you pass through a nightmare, you know that is no more than a bad dream. If you can live in the world in that consciousness, you will not suffer.
You won't mind then, because you will know you are dreaming. Do not pay undue attention to the passing scenes of life. You are the immortal Self (Consciousness) living only temporarily in a dream that is sometimes (imagined) to be a nightmare. That is the higher philosophy (and truth) of the mystics." -- Yogananda

When there are over 90 verses in the Bible that reject the divinity of Jesus I'm not surprised at all that you left Christianity and still participate in man worship.

God hears every prayer and there are 3 responses. Either he gives you what you ask for or he withholds some harm from you. 3rd he makes you wait for judgement day as a reward for your patience.

It is said a man will arrive on judgement day and he will have this mountain of reward. The man will ask what it is from? The Almighty tells him its for all the things he asked for and never received. The man says if i knew this were the case i would have wished you never gave me anything in the past life.

Sadly, life is a test and many people think God is there to serve them.

Clearly I don't worship Jesus being Muslim. But God hears your prayers. He is literally aware of every thought you have. You getting angry at him for "not answering" leads you down a bad path.

Far as your "un-Christian-like" behavior there is not a single one of us who doesn't sin. In fact if none of us sinned God would replace our creation with one who does sin and turn to him in repentance. How can the Almighty show he is the most forgiving if mankind doesn't sin?

You're gonna sin, this i can garauntee you. What you need to do is ask the Almighty to forgive your transgressions.

There are none in this existence worthy of worship but the Almighty himself. Not his prophets nor his angels.
May He guide you.

"Don't get attached to what I say, don't get attached to any doctrine, to what I preach; don't get attached to my personality. These are all just fingers pointing to the moon. Forget me, don't start worshiping me; just look at the moon. And once you have looked at the moon, I don't matter at all." -- Buddha

There are times when your faith is at the top and there are rough times when it feels like you walk through a desert and you don't know what's next for you. Walking away is tempting but in fact that's when you need to lean closer to God in prayer, repent and tell Him all your insecurities.

As for saying Jesus is Lord that doesn't come from you :

"Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit."
1 Corinthians 12:3

Even if you feel miserable His arms are still open for you so don't be sad, through apparent disappointment God teaches something useful for your life that sometimes we never pay attention in normal circumstances.

If you believe in Christ you are a Christian. We cannot become Christ like overnight either. It takes time, prayer and having a relationship with God. Its a process too as the Holy Spirit works with us. And we will have set backs because we live in a sinful world with the devil trying to make us fail and lose our eternal lives.

I was like you for years. I let my problems and my feelings get the better of me. I was angry with God too. I felt he abandoned me and didn't do anything for me no matter how hard I prayed.

I came to understand that everyone born into this world will face their own set of problems and suffering. We can't escape them, whether its illness, death, poverty, hunger etc. When sin came into this world, all humanity would suffer from it and will till Jesus comes back the second time. The Bible never tells us we will not have problems and suffer in this world. Jesus, the prophets and patriarchs had difficult lives as is well documented. Sometimes the closer we get to God the more difficulties we face because the devil is trying to make life so difficult, he tries to heap more struggles on us so that we give up on God. He wants us to lose faith, lose hope and he wants us to eventually lose our eternal lives.

I also came to understand that God answers our prayers at the right time not on our time. We have to be patient and wait on the Lord.

Sometimes our prayers are not answered because of our covered up sins. Psalm 66:18: "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." I'm not saying God won't answer our prayers if we have sin in our lives. God will always hear a prayer of genuine repentance. This Scripture is talking about presumptuous sin. Its premeditated sin. The Bible says, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13).

We also have to believe our prayers will be answered. Matthew 21:22 says, "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” I think a lot of Christians pray but don't really expect their prayers to be answered. That's a lack of faith. Been there, done that and still do sometimes. Its a battle that's for sure.

Be of good cheer. Trust in the Lord and never give up on Him and He will help you with everything. There is no problem that is beyond God. The Bible shows us that no matter what we are going through if we hold onto God we will win.

It’s been said that it breaks God’s heart when we doubt His love for us. If you come to a place of firmly believing that God bears no ill will towards you (He has no reason/grounds to delight in our suffering), difficult situations are a lot easier to navigate. From personal experience, God’s “No” ,as an answer, has ALWAYS been the best decision for my life but ofcourse you tend to see these things in retrospect. :)

Saying “No” doesn’t mean that He doesn’t love you. If you have good and caring parents or if you are a parent yourself, then you’ve obviously gotten a “No” from them or denied your child something not because of ill will but out of good will or as the bet decision. We don’t often extend the same consideration toward our Heavenly Father when we don’t get what we want or when we want it….consideration that all His decisions come from a place of love.(Psalm 25:10)

Also, God’s answer is NEVER late or early. It is always on time because …”He makes everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Thats what I also thought before, however, the devil knows Christ is God yet he will still take his part in the lake of fire

I find it hard to believe that I'm breaking his heart, he has himself and doesn't need me.

It would've been one thing to ask for a big house and another to ask him to get rid of my sin. The one I constantly focused on was the second one. However, that was never granted, despite consistent prayers about it.

I've always wondered how when God was so far, expected me to win the battles I faced during that period of time. My conclusion was that I had blasphemed him and I was beyond mercy so I found another comfort. The law of attraction.... I know it's bad but, it's comforting, I'm excited about life all over again.

The remission of sins is through baptism (Luke 3:3, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21) and the shedding of blood (Hebrew 9:22). Islam believes neither in baptism nor that Christ (the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world - John 1:29) shed his blood at the Crucifixion; nor does it have a sin offering to the high priest as in the Pentateuch. Therefore Islam has no precedent for atonement in simply 'asking for forgiveness' and "you will die in your sins." (John 8:24)

Thats what I also thought before, however, the devil knows Christ is God yet he will still take his part in the lake of fire
The devil is an angel (they are higher that human beings) who was highly ranked in heaven (he was a cherub) and was in the presence of God all the time yet he sinned because of pride (Ezekiel 28:13-15, 17). He wanted and still wants to be like God. He wants to be worshipped (Isaiah 14:12-14) but the problem is, he is created and can never be God or like Him. His circumstances are different to ours.

The Bible doesn't tell us of his dealings with Satan in heaven and how many chances God gave Him before he was thrown out with a third of all the angels in heaven, but we know God does not just give up on any of His creatures at the first hurdle and countless ones after that. We also don't know how long Satan and his angels were given chances. We read in the Bible that eventually there was war in heaven and the devil was cast out of heaven with a third of the angels of heaven (Revelation 12:7-8). Satan and his angels had not only refused to repent and turn back to God, he had openly rebelled against God until there was war. He and his angels had freedom of choice (as we all do) and were free to choose between obedience or disobedience; they chose to want nothing to do with God. God being a God of love could not force them. So Satan and his angels were expelled from heaven. Once that happened, his and the his angel's fates were sealed. They were lost forever.

Jesus said, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41). Hell/lake of fire is really only for the devil and his angels and no one else but sadly many will be joining the devil in hell.

We are not in the same position as the devil. Well most of us aren't. There is still hope. All we have to do is come to Christ, surrender to Him, repent and be baptised and have a daily relationship with Him by studying His Word and prayer (talking to Him). Those who reject Christ are the ones who will go to hell/lake of fire. It will be by choice. You still have a chance so don't give up on Christ yet. Christ never gives up on us, we are the ones who give up on Him. He always finds a way to let us know He is waiting for us to comeback to Him.

I remember once thinking I had committed the unforgivable sin. A combination of selected verses and condemning teaching had my convinced that it was all over for me and I had forever been put beyond redemption!

I saw through it as the Devil doing what he does - accusing and telling you you are unworthy and unforgivable, with a frowning angry God who can scarcely abide looking at me.

In the same way as kid end up running away from broken hearted parents after they make a mistake and end up homeless, imagining how angry their folks would be after they were caught with drugs at school, people turn from an imagined Victorian schoolmaster of a God.

Relax, nobody's perfect, for example I like to think I'm a Christian even though I'm an ex-convict (3 month vigliante rap in 2002), and i'm often outspoken, argumentative and don't suffer fools gladly.
No problem, Jesus doesn't want timid sheep anyway..:)
For example his young cousin John was a world-rejecter living rough in the wilderness, sometimes going in town to yell insults at the snooty jewish priests and corrupt rulers.
Jesus's verdict on him?-
"John is the greatest man ever to be born" (Matt 11:11)

What's the "law of attraction"?
Personally I'm attracted to the shopwomen in the grocers and like to spy on them from between the shelves of baked beans but I wouldn't call it a sin..:)

...I still believe Jesus Christ is God however...

Whoa, Jesus said many times he wasn't God-
"I am going to the Father, for my Father is greater than I" (John 14:28 )
"Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone" (Luke 18:19)
"Only God knows when Judgment Day will be, I don't know myself" (Mark 13:32)
"I say nothing of my own accord, i only say what my father tells me to say.." (John 12:49)

And God himself said -
"This is my beloved son, listen to him" (Matt 17:5)

But I don't think Jesus would be too annoyed if some people think he was God..:)

Sound like you're battling with sins and the anti-Christ spirit roaming the world right now. When your Faith is at it low point, the devil appeared to be overwhelming. You're going to have to take control of your house and kick the devil out. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and give you the strength to stand up against that deceiver. This is actually a blessing in disguise, a chance for you to experiences the power of the God. Understand you're not alone in this battle, the Holy Ghost is with you, waiting for you to reach out to Him. Cry out to Him now, tell Him you're tired of making the wrong turns after turns, ask Him to take over the wheel for you.

James 5:16
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Seek out a pastor that believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Confess your sins and the obstacles you're facing. Ask the pastor to pray for you. I'm confident you WILL see a brand new light.

Can someone please explain what's going on? I've even reverted to the law of attraction.

But these videos of people trying to force their satanic agenda onto young kids, has me second guessing.
On the other hand, this is exactly how you're going to lose the battle. Clearly, this is the path the devil wanted you to cross. It's a trap, do not fall for it. Jesus is THE answer. God bless you and free you right now!
