Btw I threw that post without explanation p: So obvs I found what he said weird bc it enhances the idea that being a part of a fandom, "stanning" such and such celebrity is a "solid" (I didn't find the right word) identity that you have to act upon. It's like a cult.
Also it makes kpop, the music industry, winning such and such prize look wayyyyy deeper than it is and a "bigger responsability" than it is. But it is neither deep nor a serious thing that should affect us to the point of sadness, shedding tears or even lack of sleep and wasting time.
Chan,of course, didn't invent all of these ideas, they were present but even if only one singer (that they call idol) "motivates" his/her fans once, it is going to be deeper than it already is.
