I personnally don't believe that it is as easy as this. You don't get judged on one action as big as it is, however it sure is a bad decision to commit suicide regarding your judgement.

Hell is a state of mind.

The more important thing regarding this topic is the type of energy you leave behind. Since energy doesn't die, it always gets converted or transferred. In that sense, suicide is not a good way to go out.

Will the Holy Spirit allow a saved, born again believer to destroy His temple? There are several suicidal believer in the Bible, but I don't recall anyone that actually go through with it. (Judas wasn't save)

Not according to the Bible. In the Bible Hell is real (not a state of mind) but it will happen later after all have been judged both the righteous and unrighteous (at different stages). And Hell will be right here on earth, once the fire has done it cleansing of sin, Satan and all the evil angels, the unrighteous, and this earth, this earth will be recreated, it will be a new earth where all the righteous will live with Christ forever and ever.

The Bible says that the just shall live by faith. If we live by faith in Christ we have a purpose in life, we love life and we have hope. In most cases suicide is a result of a person losing hope and losing faith. Also the Bible says 'Thou shalt not kill', and that would include ourselves. So if it's a sin to take life that you cannot and didn't create, that would include our own lives.

However, it’s important to be aware that suicides can be the result of extreme depression, unbalanced brain chemistry, compromised thinking, illness, and unbearable physical pain.

Each individual suicide is and sadly will be committed for very different reasons that only God knows about. For example, there is a difference between the suicides of Judas and Saul and that of Samson. Biblically Samson repented of abusing the gifts that God gave him. Samson’s death was a sacrifice because he laid down his life to save others. He did it out of love rather than hopelessness. Strangely, it was God’s Spirit that filled him with the supernatural strength to collapse the temple on himself. So we can't judge and say all suicides are lost. I don't believe they are, I believe most are though.

The Bible makes it clear that God created us knows us better than we know ourselves that he even knows the number of hairs on our heads. And He truly knows the human heart and what our intentions are. Plus He is loving, merciful and compassionate. He gave His life to save us. Only He can judge our eternal destinies fairly and justly.

At times even God's people lose hope and get depressed and wish to die. In the Bible great prophets like Elijah, Job, Jonah, and Jeremiah had moments when they wished they were dead. But their love and faith in God gave them the strength to carry on. When things get tough and our emotions are low, we should always remember that nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39). God promises a love that “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7). God gives us the strength to carry on.

I know what the Bible says. What I don't know is if I should be thrilled or horrified at the outcome.

My thoughts are, why wait for God? Let's start creating the new Earth today.

If this is hell, it's pretty nice, at least it is for me. Sorry it isn't for you.
We live on a planet where people lie, cheat and steal from each other on a daily basis; and where women are raped and children are molested, sometimes by the so-called leaders of governments and organized religions. We have allowed extremely rich and evil people to make up rules to "legalize" theft in the form of taxes and murder in the form of war. Poverty and crime are so commonplace that they're considered "normal", particularly by the more fortunate.

People commonly refer to themselves as, and admit we are all "sinners", without giving any thought to what that actually means. A sinner is someone who breaks The Law our Creator gave us for our own benefit (1 John 3:4), which is the only real law there is. In other words, we are all admitted, unrepentant criminals, incarcerated in this prison reform school for the criminally insane to learn to be selfless, spiritually-minded and good instead of selfish, materialistic and evil. And the most insane among us are actually running this planet, for their master, Satan.

Yes, the natural world God made for this school is both amazing and beautiful, just like He is. But only someone who is extremely selfish and evil, and/or spiritually sound asleep could believe this lunatic asylum is "pretty nice". Especially given the course we are presently embarked upon, using a global medical scam as a scapegoat to bring about the planned economic destruction, famine, mass starvation and final world war, all because we still haven't learned to overcome our imaginary fears, which keep us from sharing and playing nice with one another.

As a christian you must put your life in God's hands that's not up to you to choose if you can murder yourself.

"do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"
1 Corinthians 6:19

"Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed."
Hebrews 12:12‭-‬13

Definitely you don't have the right to destroy the Temple that is your body but instead we should seek God to heal anxiety, depression and all sort of traumas/negative thoughts.

It depends if you understand what the Bible says about hell. Many Christians unfortunately do no understand hell according to the Bible.

Only God can recreate the New Earth. No human being or even angel has that power. So we have no choice but to wait for God to recreate it. And while waiting we have to submit completely to Him and live according to His will. Only those who do that will get to live in the New Earth.

Challenge accepted.
I didn't consider this a challenge at all. If you are taking it as a challenge, you will fail completely. The New Earth will be purified. The New Earth will be free of sin and sinners. Satan and his wicked angels will gone forever. Hell will have burned and punished them all to death forever. In the New Earth, there will be no more death, pain, tears, sorrow, sickness, disappointment, trouble, hunger, or thirst (Isaiah 33:24; Isaiah 65:23; Revelation 21:4; Revelation 7:16).

In the New Earth people will be able to visit God face to face and spend time with Jesus (Revelation 22:4).

The Bible says, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Can you create such a New Earth? God bless.

Yeah, I can summon black holes with my hands bro. And lightning. But what you describe is still a tall task.

If God is on the job, I will defer to God, though. I just don't even care what happens anymore. Everything seems so trivial and irrelevant.

Now this is complex one. I'm not the best theologist or the best phylosopher or master of logic, if anything i'm at the left side of the intelligence x faith horseshoe, but here are my two cents on the question.

The first thing we have to keep in mind is that like half part of doing something is intent. As example, having sex with your wife is ok, but having sex with a hooker is wrong. It is exactly the same act, but doing it with a hooker instead of your wife is wrong. It is not the body that commits sin, its the soul.

With this in mind, we have to analize the act of one's taking his own life. If all of the VC members here were in a room and I throw a grenade in said room, I bet that at least one of you guys would jump over the grenade to save the others. By doing this, said person would take is own life but it would be deemed as a heroic self sacrifice and not a suicide. Another similar situation would be if said hero had a secret death wish and used the situation as an excuse to commit suicide. Again, he would be regarded as a hero but actually he just wanted to die.

Now regarding the suicide per se. If someone jumps out of a window of the 52th floor with the intent of killing himself, but before the fall he suddendly sees he did wrong, is it still suicide? For us onlookers, yes, but for this guy in particular he didn't die with the intent of self murder even tough only he knows the truth. In a similar way, if I'm in a roadtrip with a death wish, but i'm not driving, and somehow the car crashes and I die. I had the intent of killing myself but I haven't died intentionally. This is not considered a suicide in any way.

With all this said, the problem comes only when someone intentionally dies while trying to kill themselves.

Now let's analyze this:

Your life was given to you by God. The main premise is that when you want to commit suicide you're giving up the life that God has given to you. Well, if God is the source of all life and you want to give up said life, when you die with this intent and purpose you can't go to God, because when people come to God the find eternal life. So your soul end up in the absence of God, hell. Wether you think it is a lake of fire, this earth or a state of mind, I guess we all agree that hell is a place where God is absent.

Also, one commits suicide not only by shooting a gun or jumping out of a window. A guy who has no desire to live anymore and spend the rest of his days doing drugs, heavy drinking and things regarded as immoral is just like a step above active suicidal behavior.

But then again, we all agree that we will be judged fairly. So when someone commits suicide with intent I guess that everything comes to play, so a depressive state surely have some weight in.

Finally, with all that said I'd like to share two movie scenes that expose some of the things i've mentioned above. I'm far too tired to develop on them and this post is already big enough. Just keep in mind that these scenes aren't for the sensitive ones.

There are seven suicides in the Bible.
1 - Abimelech, in Judges 9:54. A woman dropped a millstone upon him. Recognizing that he was mortally wounded, he commanded his armour-bearer to slay him. Even though he did not die at his own hands, he did die at his own order.

2 - Samson in Judges 16:28 killed himself. He prayed and God gave him strength to pull down the support columns of the temple. This caused the death of many of the leading Philistines but it also caused his own death.

3 - Saul is another. Seeing that the Philistines might capture him while he still had some life and torture him, he commands his armour-bearer to finish him off with a sword. The armour-bearer refused. Whereupon Saul falls upon his own sword.

4 - Saul's armourbearer then kills himself too.

5 - Ahithrophel in 2 Samuel 17:23 hanged himself.

6 - Zimri in 1 Kings 16 barricaded himself in the palace and burned it down with himself inside.

7 - And of course, Judas hung himself..

Nowhere does the Bible say suicide is a sin..:)
Taking one's own life is a sin. It comes under the commandment which says, "Thou shalt not murder" which means ourselves too.
