Rainbow symbolism

I came across this. I can't verify what is being said here but thought it was worth sharing.

Traditionally, rainbow has also been interpreted as the thunder god’s (e.g. Jupiter, Indra, Ukko) bow. Also, just as noted earlier, rainbow is the bridge of Venus-Lucifer, Manas, the purest self-awareness to reach towards the middle point, the mutual source of existence of every living being. This duality, in the sense of energy reaching from the center to the outer circles, can also be seen as Jupiter’s or Indra’s lightning, vajra, which electrifies and puts physical matter in motion. While rainbow can be seen as energy traversing in two directions, vajra also shares this duality: in addition to the lightning, it also is a diamond, man’s solid, divine self and consciousness. It is Manas, which like a diamond, cuts through everything, but is so dense itself that it cannot be cut or divided. It’s the crown that Lucifer sets on the rainbow, the power he has given to us; misinterpreted as a fall, and more correctly seen as lightning flashing from the sky toward earth.

What should be determined from all this? The rainbow symbolizes the oneness of everything manifested and unmanifested. It expresses every one of the rays both together and separated, and especially those which are important to human life, even though it’s only a fraction of everything that exist.

I believe you may be correct.
Lucifer's surname is Morningstar, and Morningstar refers to the planet Venus. The Latin name 'Lucifer' means 'light bringer'. When talking about the notion of worshopping gods, this can be defined in multiple ways. It can either be the worship of spirits, or the worship of planets etc.
If the rainbow is the bridge of Venus-Lucifer, then the bridge might be the connection between the spirit and its 'homeland', the planet Venus? Just like we have our own original consciousness. This is just a thought, though.

Interesting article on this subject. Re: Solar Cults

Rainbow Connection (Muppet Movie)

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told, and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it
Look what it's done so far
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

All of us under its spell
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep, and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
La-da-da, de-da-da-do
La-da-da-da-da-de-da-do

I've come across the line "wish upon a star" so many times too, in music, literature. It's everywhere. Here's the lyrics to Kate Bush's song 'In search of Peter Pan', for example:

In search of Peter Pan

It's been such a long week
So much crying
I no longer see a future
I've been told when I get older
That I'll understand it all
But I'm not sure if I want to

[Verse 2]
Running into her arms
At the school gates
She whispers that I'm a poor kid
And Granny takes me on her knee
She tells me I'm too sensitive
She makes me sad
She makes me feel like an old man
She makes me feel like an old man

[Chorus]
They took the game right out of it
They took the game right out of it
When I am a man
I will be an astronaut
And find Peter Pan

[Post-Chorus]
Second star on the right
Straight on 'til morning
Second star on the right
Straight on 'til morning

The Peter Pan story goes that the star is the entrance of Neverland, a place where no one grows up. And notice that the god Pan is associated with Satan.

Another article that ties together Peter Pan-Pan-Saturn and rainbow (prism)

Note the masonic pyramid and MK sex kitten wardrobe from the album cover.

Rainbow was a long running kids tv show in britain, back in the 70s 80s.
It was targeted at pre-school kids

It was filled with symbolism and innuendo.

Now, children... Have you all got a friend to play with?

I used to be a fan of her in my early teens, though. Her work is loaded with (occult/esoteric) symbolism, it might be worth a thread haha.
Fun fact: Her brother had published a collection of photos of her and essays about her that is called 'Kate: Inside the Rainbow'.

The Dark Side of the Moon is among the most critically acclaimed records in history, often featuring on professional listings of the greatest albums. The record helped to propel Pink Floyd to international fame, bringing wealth and recognition to all four of its members. It has been certified 14× platinum in the United Kingdom, and topped the US Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart, where it has charted for 957 weeks in total. With estimated sales of over 45 million copies, it is Pink Floyd's most commercially successful album, and one of the best-selling albums worldwide. In 2013, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress for being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
The album was originally released in a gatefold LP sleeve designed by Hipgnosis and George Hardie. Hipgnosis had designed several of the band's previous albums, with controversial results...

Inside the sleeve were two posters and two pyramid-themed stickers. One poster bore pictures of the band in concert, overlaid with scattered letters to form PINK FLOYD, and the other an infrared photograph of the Great Pyramids of Giza, created by Powell and Thorgerson
Hipgnosis was an English art design group based in London that specialised in creating cover art for the albums of rock musicians and bands. Notable commissions included work for Pink Floyd, T. Rex, the Pretty Things, Black Sabbath, UFO, 10cc, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Scorpions, The Nice, Paul McCartney & Wings, the Alan Parsons Project, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Electric Light Orchestra, Rainbow, Styx, and Al Stewart.

I remember it well, but this episode is completely OTT. It's like they were given the brief "just cram in as many innuendos as you can"

On a more serious note it quite clearly shows the contempt these programme makers had for their target audience.

Yeah, ok. That particular one wasn't for showing, even though it got out.

But the whole thing was dodgy.
What was the deal with zippy? sometimes they would zip him shut.
Jeffery was always in bed with bungle...

Lol

That whole era was dodgy. Over on the BBC at the same time we had Saville fixing it for lots of desperate kids, Rolf Harris doing swimming safety videos with young semi naked kids and Garry Glitter singing "Do you wanna be in my gang?"

Kids weren't safe back then, even less so today.

Yes indeed! In retrospect it is all as creepy as hell.

And what you said regarding rainbow. It does show what they were thinking about when they were making a kids program. What was on their minds, how they really thought of it all.
