It’s time to fight for our Freedom, I’m scared...

I’m depressed & have to say something... it’s like one day they told us to stay home, and we did. And now my once thriving neighborhood of small businesses has been reduced to a sea of “For Lease” signs in just a matter of months. How much longer will we sit back & take it? I feel like the Stimulus Check was hush money to keep us distracted... and it worked. Seriously at what point do we say “enough is enough?!”

And I’m just as guilty - I took the money & believed the lies that we were just going to “flatten the curve”. I justified staying home by saying it was to protect the cancer patients being treated at the hospital I work at, since they have such compromised immune systems.

But then the talk of reopening just stopped. The whole summer flew by, and despite living in California I stayed pale, relegated to staying indoors, handcuffed to my computer working from home. And now it’s getting to be winter, the time of year everyone gets sick. So now every sneeze, every cough, ever sore throat will be treated as a possible death sentence.

You know that we will be indoors now at least through the end of March 2021, making it one full year of this lockdown. Do you honestly think that we will ever get our freedom back?

And now, regardless of your politics, the Democratic Party promotes big government- honestly I am afraid to have even more government in my daily life because my daily life has already ceased to exist. I’m on Democrats.org & reading their platform preamble which says “Democrats will forge a new social & economic contract with the American people - a contract that promotes shared prosperity” = what the hell does that mean?! “A new contract” & “shared prosperity” sounds like socialism & like we will definitely be giving up the right to free business.
I know what I’m saying is unpopular & I’ll probably be hit with a barrage of hate speech, but the truth is I just want us all to have the freedom to live our daily life as we desire. If you wish to stay indoors, that should be your choice. But we should also have the choice to NOT stay inside. Private businesses should be allowed to choose whether or not they can serve citizens, just as you can decide to patronage business. Yes, we need to protect the elderly & infirm, so those private hospitals & facilities can enforce the rules they deem appropriate. But if a coffee shop wants to reopen & not require social distancing or a mask, that should be their choice too. Then just don’t go if you don’t feel comfortable.

People are still getting sick despite these unprecedented measures (maybe because we’ve prevented herd immunity by not allowing the virus to take its natural course) but regardless, at what point do we say “enough is enough”? I mean, am I the only one that is deeply saddened & anxious that we are fine sitting home while small business dies? Until our only choice is Amazon? I feel complicit because I’m one of the lucky few to have a job & work from home, so I can pay bills & keep a roof over my head. But what about everyone else?
I’m sorry for ranting, and I know I’ll probably get a ton of nasty comments but the truth is, I love this country, I love its citizens, and I hate watching it be destroyed. Instead of coming together, our frustration is being exploited into making us hate one another. Local police are highlighted as being the problem, so that the federal government can step in- I’m just waiting for martial law... (and please don’t misread or misinterpret what I’m saying- there are some horrible things that were done by some horrible people, but just like all priests aren’t pedophiles, not all police are murderers). I am honestly just truly worried about the future & afraid of what life will be like a year from now, two years from now.... how much worse will it get??

... I mean, not only did I get blocked on Twitter for creating a petition to preserve Freedom of Speech on Social Media, my petition has now been deleted. Isn’t that exactly like Orwellian’s Big Brother & committing a thought-crime? My dumb petition that had maybe a dozen or so signatures was deemed too much dissent & removed. This post is a thought-crime because it goes against the narrative of mainstream media. This post will likely be deleted as well. And if you don’t find that troubling, well that scares me. We have fought for civil rights- for equality, LGBT rights, human rights, and now all humans are losing all rights. The pursuit of freedom is guaranteed to us, and I think every consenting adult should be allowed to do whatever that means (obviously not to hurt someone, please don’t misconstrue what I’m saying). But right now, we have lost all those rights generations before us fought so hard for, yet we sit home. And instead of fighting for our freedom, we fight each other.
It’s no wonder that the elite’s favorite slogan is “order out of chaos”. While we are busy fighting each other, they will establish a new order of life, one where we have no more freedom. THAT is what scares me. And it really scares me that no one else seems to care.

... I’m sorry for the long post & I’m sure I didn’t say it properly because I haven’t been sleeping & have been working crazy hours so I’m pretty zapped, but I just wanted to say something before this gets deleted too. I just want us to stop fighting against each other & start fighting for the same freedom this country was founded on. I love each & every one of you (even if you disagree with me) - I just don’t want to lose any more freedom.

Hello from the UK.

Lockdown Sceptics is a great website over here which you might want to refer to in regards the C19 bollocks. We're a couple of weeks ahead of you here with a second lockdown, and people are pushing back because the data simply doesn't support it. The politicians are really showing their true colours. People are gathering in cities in droves to protest, not observing any sort of distancing guidelines.

Also, look up Dolores Cahill on YouTube. She speaks a lot of sense.

Question everything you're being told by the media, because generally speaking, if they say black, the truth is actually white. They will never be able to form your opinion for you, so long as you look at both sides of a story.

I don't wear a mask when I go out (the symbolism in doing so is obvious). I visit and hug my friends and family. I refuse to be told what I can do - because this cold/flu virus (which was over by spring, BTW) has been hikacked by Big Pharma to make them money. A lot of our politicians here have shares in the companies they're employing to develop vaccines or supply PPE. The corruption is blatant.

My brother doesn't hold the same opinions as me and he asked me what they should have done instead of closing businesses and giving cash handouts. My answer was they should have instead thrown that money at the Health Service and protected the vulnerable, not decimated the economy and ruined everyone's lives.

Because of your election there (which is simply failing to hit the MSM here - imagine my shock), you are literally either going to kickstart the Great Awakening, or the Great Reset.

Either way, don't be scared. You control your thoughts and emotions. Maybe do something (if not online, in person via straight-talking) which makes you feel empowered again. Talk to each other. Be kind to each other. A divided society is what they're pushing for. Don't give them what they want. Simply refuse.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm afraid as well, I have no clue if my job will ever come back, and I am terrified for my lovely children and my wonderful lady. The time home has been good, but the world outside that caused it... Not so much. I have no clue who to fight, or how. I don't want to divide anybody any further, but the Democrat party has lost their flipping minds, and the things they propose look like very bad news. I wish real life good and evil were as simple as entertainment makes it seem. I just want to do the right thing for my family and everybody, live a life that pleases the Lord, and it seems impossible nowadays. I agree though, I'm definitely afraid of what seems to be on the horizon.

I am in California too and I am really afraid for the future of our state and our country under the current state leadership and coming national government. There are lots of us - we just can't speak up because there are 5,000,000 (at least) more of "them" here in California. One house in our neighborhood still has a Trump flag up.

What you are feeling is absolutely correct. People are so distracted with the wrong things that they neglect to see what is really going on. Keep up the good fight. I am praying for you. The best thing that you can do is keep spreading the message. Make your voice loud. I think some people are wanting to recall leadership in your state. Reach out to others who are seeing the same things as you because together you are powerful.

Every time I go on youtube it has a section related to covid 19 news. It has clips and news segments and every segment I see on covid 19 it is always an extreme distortion and overrepresentation of the reality. Literally everyday all there is on the news is reporting of record breaking numbers and it always shows clips of people in hazmat suits and respirators, so called emergency rooms being filled and meeting capacity, yet all one would have to do is look at the fatality rate to know there is quite the scandal taking place right before our eyes. There are people I work close to that have had or been around people who have tested positive for covid, yet these people have virtually no symptoms, a minor cold at best for maybe a day or two... That is covid in a nutshell at its worst for the vast majority of people, that is assuming the test conducted wasnt already a false positive to begin with... My brother had covid and he had virtually no symptoms, my coworkers sister had it and it was nothing more than maybe a minor cold for a day, my coworkers daughter had it and the same thing... Yet, all you see on the news is people in hazmat suits and respirators. Its a joke and even if people believe its legit nobody can be deny its being used to give more control to our marxist corporate government overlords... At this rate all small business will cease to exist...

The media is complicit in our demise and if covid hasnt revealed it to be true then nothing will... Its all fake news that dictates our perception and its painting a false view of reality and sadly so many are beliving it to be true.

You know those assholes that used to say things like “too bad, soo sad shouldn’t have gotten a liberal arts degree.. should have studied stem” blah blah

I kinda feel like being petty and saying something like “too bad soo sad should have made yourselves essential... should have built your business on a human need instead of a want” but... I’m not that mean.

what I will say is this... we are resilient. We’ve been through worse and came back. Also: corporate Marxist’s is an oxymoron.

The government isnt being controlled by interests that have the desires of marxists and corporations in mind? That certainly seems to be the case... Any form of ism with evil and degenerate connotations involved seems to be in power. Anything with self gain involved at the expense of everyone else...

I hear you.
NM is on covid shutdown. This time stuff like car sales, etc are mandated to shut down. As a result it costed us more to stay open so my manager shut us down.

Not complaining from a recharge myself.
However for the small local business owners. I get it. I attend a gym which is locally owned. Seeing from a business owners perspective. I can see why they feel shammed. Like small business owners are designed to fail against the likes of big corporations like amazon and wal mart.

This reminds me of that disney movie wall-e where the humans are brainwashed into a way of living over a corporate take over

I agree but it’s bigger than political sides.
This is an impact on the way we live, do business etc.

Right now if we don’t wake up we are primed to being in a full blown take over by the big corporations

Just my 2 cents on this.

What this country has shown because of our freedoms whether you agree with capitalism or not. Republican, democrat, skin color. We are all capable of having an opportunity to run a business. Whether it’s a necessity or not.

When we stop the flow of money through shut down of small business, we give those big corporations more power, we give the government more power.

Regardless of skin color, political association. We need each other from a business stand point. Now people are in a crunch losing jobs, holiday season. It slowly impacts society.

Its by design to make us all dependant on a centralized governing body that will eagerly jump in as the savior to inplement a welfare mindset and society. They want to recreate society where our first initial reaction is government will take care of us snd provide and we have to go through them and self independence becomes obsolete

im curious when you say you work in a hospital in California, what you mean by the message that you were told about helping neutropenic patients?

there are so many things that don’t make sense to me in what you are saying that center around this statement.

California is one of the only states that has a nursing ratio. Really, if you look at the covid numbers across the country, you could say that there is evidence that nursing ratios create better patient outcomes overall based on how California has fared in comparison to the rest of the country.

with a novel disease, you don’t want to see something apocalyptic. Saying that things seem boring is fantastic news and people act like it is the evidence of something sinister.

the reality is that if there is not enough people to provide intervention, people die. Covid or not. That is why California has nursing ratios. That is why there are large nursing unions throughout the country. Capacity concerns are not something new. If you have more people who need intervention than people available to intervene, people will die across the board in greater numbers. They will die of all things, cancer, stroke, etc.

if this kind of tragedy is not taking place, we should be grateful especially considering the history of something like the Black Plague.

this isn’t directed at you, but everyone else saying this or that about what you have seen. Unless you have an example of a case of covid within the hospital, you’re example only represents someone who is able to be treated as an outpatient. It is absurd that everyone nods when someone tells them what they want to hear about this. Everyone acts like it is gospel truth when someone says they know someone with a mild case so obviously saying there are more severe cases is just a lie. But having a different perspective that includes a completely full hospital on a regular basis ever since early summer and increasing in the number of covid cases as we approach winter is a lie because the other person said they knew someone who only had mild symptoms. Just such crap.

with every condition, there are those who can be treated as an outpatient and those who will be treated in the hospital. I don’t know how people are so ignorant of this, but many of you seem to be.

some people get chemo as an outpatient and go home afterward, some people get chemo in the hospital. Why is this hard to understand? This is true with every diagnosis.

if the volume in the hospitals in your area is low. That is good. That is the way it should be which has already been evidenced by the many areas that have not been so lucky.

either way, anything requiring intervention exists under the same umbrella. If there are more people who need intervention than there are people available to intervene, people could potentially die of every condition that exists. It will be somewhat equal across the board. It will not discriminate. It will not target cancer patients over covid patients or vice versa.

this is not new. This was a situation that existed before. The general public just wasn’t aware of this Until now. It is why hospital related deaths are the 8th leading cause of death in the country. It is why California has nursing ratios. It is why nursing unions exist across the country. There is much more to healthcare than prescription medications and pharmaceutical companies.

people take for granted how healthy we are everyday. Many people are sheltering in clean houses with some degree of healthy food and water and overall opportunity to help them avoid getting sick. Covid not creating a more tragic outcome is really the result of privilege, rather than anything to do with covid at all.

most of the people on this forum come from some degree of privilege or does no one notice that there aren’t many people from Yemen or Bangladesh or some other area struggling with some more legitimate crises. Most people are from areas with clean water, food, clothes, and somewhat elaborate healthcare systems by comparison around here trying to act like they are being victimized. Making comparisons to slavery or some other excessive comparison that is equally ridiculous.

that is why this situation is not worse. Most everyone in here is privileged even if you had a stint on the streets or experienced some other hardship in life. It is still nothing comparable to what has taken place throughout history. It is also not comparable to some things that are taking place right now in this world. Be grateful. Take care of yourselves. There is no reason to think that we are losing freedoms in the long run. The world is becoming more remote. You can complain about the integration of technology if you want, but I don’t know that many of you would really be able to survive without many of the things we take for granted like electricity.

people have complained about technology since the early days of the industrial revolution and here we are. i swear people need to get a grip.

or don’t and keep complaining. We’ll see if you all are singing the same song in January. Personally, I love the boring of this situation. God forbid we did have something more serious. I’m fully convinced based on how I have seen people respond, that we would be up a creek. There is no way I would depend on any of you who deny this situation for survival. I don’t feel like most of you have a whole lot of common sense considering what I have seen people discuss concerning covid throughout this last year.

Here is an article on safe staffing and nursing ratios for hospitals because it has been a subject for a long time. It is relevant to every condition including cancer, stroke, whatever

I know most of you like to think you know everything and that people are wasting their time with hospitals, but most of you have never really lost the capacity to take care of yourself. Losing this capacity and needing someone to do for you what you can’t do for yourself, is what this article is about.

I know most of you can’t distinguish between corruption and legitimate hardships that are inherent with being born, so I don’t expect much. But maybe someone out there actually has an open mind and would be interested.

Just like wall-e
For a long time I have been saying that the future will be a combination of wall-e, idiocracy, 1984 and a brave new world.
Now that I think about it, wall-e seems like a children's version of a brave new world.

My sister is an RN.. and says masks are worthless. Pretty much the same thing this nurse is saying.

So when i see you make posts attempting to shame people for not obeying as if they were sheep. I have to wonder what you're doing in a thread saying its time to stand up.. when you've already rolled over and are playing dead?

Just in case someone forgot, wall-e was about the damage we are doing to the environment. Remember how wall-e was left to clean up all the trash that people left behind in the world and how people lived in the spaceship because the world became one big landfill?

yeah, wall-e is not the best comparison unless you’re saying that people are making more trash since they are home more and will eventually need to find another planet because of this.

wall-e is really an example of how a community can destroy itself, which is something to think about.
