The Gyalwang Drukpa?
Heh, you're right, he's head of the monastic order, so I gave DL the wrong title. I guess "leader to the head of the dragon order" would be more accurate.

His visit to CERN is interesting...

The different orders have different heads, the Dalai Lama was the political ruler of Tibet but he doesn't have a great deal of authority over lineages other than the Gelug (which means "virtuous ones"), the Drukpa ("dragon") included. Of course there was the whole story of Blavatsky saying the Drukpa were all black magicians, which I don't think is really true (veneration of Drukpa Kunley excluded), actually it comes from the fact that some Tibetans use the word "dragon" to refer to sorcerers rather than to the Drukpa lineage.

Anyway I'm curious as to what you said about having a problem with Tibetan Buddhism on "Buddhist doctrinal grounds"...? I'm pretty familiar with the fundamental doctrines of the Vajrayana and I don't see them as being in contradiction with any other form of Mahayana Buddhism.

As to the Dalai Lama visiting CERN, well he probably gets invited to a lot of places. I honestly think the whole hype about CERN is way overblown, obviously they could have spent the money on alleviating poverty but that's about it. All these neurotic Abrahamic people are like "OMG there's a statue of Shiva outside" as if that's something really bad. Not as if it was just a gift from the Indian government, and anyway there's nothing wrong with Shiva at all.

No, not Vajrayana itself, but the current Dalai Lama. Look up buddhist doctrine on suicide...

My misgivings about CERN have nothing to do with Lord Shiva, I assure you.

Well generally speaking suicide is not considered a very good idea. From the current Dalai Lama, I found this quote:
"Some people commit suicide; they seem to think that there is suffering simply because there is the human life, and that by cutting off the life there will be nothing… But, according to the Buddhist viewpoint, that’s not the case; your consciousness will continue. Even if you take your own life, this life, you will have to take another body that again will be the basis of suffering. If you really want to get rid of all your suffering, all the difficulties you experience in your life, you have to get rid of the fundamental cause (greed, hatred and delusion) that gives rise to the aggregates that are the basis of all suffering. Killing yourself isn’t going to solve your problems.”

If you mean his "neutrality" on self-immolation and his comments about Tibetans committing suicide in order to escape Chinese oppression being "not crazy", well I can kind of see his point. I don't think he's saying that suicide is a good thing, just that in certain cases it is understandable. Obviously trying to escape from some painful Karma by killing oneself is illogical, but living under a regime which represses religion one could perhaps argue that it would be good to seek a different rebirth in which one has freedom to practice. This is just my perspective, but anyway from a Buddhist perspective suicide isn't an "unforgivable sin".

Not sure where to put this, they’re claiming it was a Goodyear blimp. Doesn’t look like any blimp I’ve ever seeen plus no advertising on it at all so would be pointless to even fly it if it were one.
Thanks. This is why I think VC should have a "high strangeness" section.

That's a black triangle, TR-3B style. The rumor goes that they're reverse engineered unconventional propulsion US craft, designed using tech from archaeological sources (people say "ancient aliens", I say "lost human civilization"). A reputable sighting by a policeman had him identify USAF cockpit markings, indicating where to retrieve the pilot in case of a crash.

The author of that article makes a good point... no fake intercept, and a lazy cover story. It's like they don't really care to hide it anymore...my guess would be that it's because it's about to become public in some form or other, truth or otherwise.

(I just saw a picture of the Goodyear blimp. Its lights face fore, from the front part of the fuselage. Not centered and pointed down.

Goodyear has massive defense contracts...they wouldn't out a USAF classified project.)

My Facebook post just got fact checked by the Facebook police. Wonder who reported me? I only have close family and friends on there. The PTB are working overtime I guess.

... basically confirming there's something to it. Otherwise, why would they care? Just a silly UFO story! ;)

I would guess that the reports are likely complemented by some amount of keyword tagging.

I really don’t think anyone I know would report me though. That’s why I’m confused. I’ve known pretty much everyone on there for 20 years +

You struck a keyword for the algorithm most likely. Strange Facebook won’t let you talk about ufos

All I did was repost the link. And said “look babe you were right” and tagged my husband
social media platforms ramped up their censorship like crazy this year. They are happy to censor or fact check something which even has nothing to do with the target issue even. a chess youtuber I like got censored because he was saying “black” and “white”.

did anyone you know see the UFOs?

If you watch that ufo video carefully, you see text scrolling in that bright blue window. It doesn't look like the Goodyear blimp but I still think it's an advertising blimp made to look like a ufo.

Different part of jersey then where I’m from so I don’t think so. There was an earthquake out there a week ago and they all felt that.

Government covering something I don’t want to be blacklisted so. I’ll see myself out of this thread
