Good luck on that...

Seattle moves to disband police department, replace it with “gender-affirming, anti-racist” Department of Community Safety

I have a problem when it’s forced on you..if you want to watch the game from the beginning it’s kinda forced on you...unless you miss that part and come in afterwards and maybe miss the beginning of the game. Plus they are making you part of their protest.

If there’s a peaceful protest somewhere I could go or not...my choice.
Wow you're an idiot....

So you have no intelligent response using adult words. Got it. ;)

When hoardes of people are purposefully blocking traffic without permits or entrances to buildings and you need to get through, you can't avoid the 'protest'. It's not an option, and they force you to be caught up in and affected by their particular issue. That's not right, and it's not peaceful or lawful protesting.
Funny... that isn’t what was being talked about at all.

also - when did conservatives start redefining words like they accuse liberals of doing? Last I’ve checked violence does not mean inconvenienced.

but I guess if we are redefining words now the same should apply to this:

I'm going to have to say that circling the capitol building is very different from what some of these protesters have been doing.

The conversation she was replying to was about athletes taking a knee and protesting during sports games. They were not blocking traffic anywhere. She chose to respond by saying blocking traffic is violence. So I wonder if that logic extends to conservatives blocking traffic as well. At no point was I discussing or referencing the Portland type protests going on anywhere.

Gotcha.

I guess blocking traffic is in degrees. For me anyway. Like blocking an interstate is not equal to marching down main street.

It is in degrees. Of inconvenience. I can see no way shape or form it can constitute violence unless I guess you are blocking the entrance to a hospital or an emergency service. And even then I’m not sure violence would be the correct word.

I’m reminded of the nj bridge shut down scandal which resulted in death - not a protest, a politically motivated hit job on a local mayor or something that the governor didn’t like. Hard to remember details exactly it was a couple years back.

if people just want others to “protest” alone in their living rooms that defeats the entire purpose of a protest and quite frankly is a denial of first amendment rights. I don’t get it. People don’t want violent riots but they are scornful of peaceful protest as well and Apparantly believe any form of protest is violent just for being a protest. But then in response to riots they say “you should just protest peacefully” - it makes no sense.

We already knew how they felt about God & country.

But I dare them to burn a Quran next.

It’d always the Christians people bother because they know that Christians aren’t going to do anything to them for burning Bibles or hating God...AND they also know that it’s not the same for Islam..those people will murder you!

Yeah no intelligent response what so ever to be honest. Why provide one to someone who has no intelligence?

To be honest if people are protesting and blocking me from getting somewhere, I will either sit and wait or find a detour. We have a right to assemble. And for that freedom to exist for me it must be allowed for others.

You do realize picket lines are also generally in front of the buildings where people work because the point of striking there would be to make it clear to those walking in how important their walk out is. Yes it's difficult to walk in and a pain for those not picketing but we allow this because its a fundamental right and its the protestors way of bringing more awareness. But even then you see idiots angrily drive thru picket lines risking injury to others because they're late for work by 10 minutes.

Freedom of assembly doesn't mean infringing the freedom of others.

Portland mayor rips into rioters for ‘attempting to commit murder’
Even the mayor who allowed his city to descend into riots for months is speaking up after left wing terrorists lock city officials in a building and try to burn it down with accelerants

Ted has been supporting them doing this for weeks, and even went to join them. When they attacked him though, suddenly he became scared and started talking about it negatively
