psychiatry isn't a science, it's a huge FRAUD

I've never seen anyone on vigilant citizen or anywhere in general talk about the actual dangerous effects psychiatry has on our society, people, and children nowadays. Did you know that 1 in 5 adults nowadays will be diagnosed with a mental illness at some point in there life. Children nowadays can't pass between ages 0-18 without being screened and diagnosed and put on a label with with some new mental illness for every normal emotion they experience. I've honestly become so sick of the brainwashed brain dead people glamorizing a FRAUD and actively promoting it to children and adults to the point where any person that walks in a psychiatrist office nowadays Will walk out with a prescription. They're doing more harm than good. People are becoming addicted to these drugs, killing themselves, suffering from brain damage, heart problems, etc.... From the medication those "doctors" claim aren't toxic.... They never cured anything because they never discovered anything in first place. And before any "patient" comes up to me blabbering on about how they visited a psychiatrist and became better. I suggest they go research about the placebo effect, those drugs don't work because they work, they work because you believe they work. Anytime I try to speak up about this bs that's happening in psychiatry, people respond to me with "oh, so you're saying all those doctors are wrong? You're saying they're all liers and you're the only own right" I swear I'm sick of people putting psychiatrists in such a high glory angel position automatically stating anything they say or do is a fact that can't be questioned, why? Because they're "doctors", they have some "degree" and they "know what they're doing" and they claim that they "just want to help people" when all they care about is creating new fake "diseases", "illnesses", "disorders" so they can describe people more toxic drugs to fill up their pockets with money. I've never met anyone who actually sees psychiatry for what it is, a fraud, without calling me "crazy" or "paranoid" so I wonder what do YOU guys here at vigilant citizen think about this? Do you agree or disagree and if you disagree I'd like you to state why? Oh and here are some videos of you aren't convinced yet, I hope you reply after watching them.

The mind is a powerful organ. We all have our ways of thinking.
Trick ourselves enough, be paranoid enough. You’ll be labeled with mental illness.

Idk. People are easily defeated these days. Even the ones I’ve always viewed as strong willed and held up to high standard are breaking down.

1 in 5 is a lot of people. That adds up. Even if these drugs don’t work as “intended”.
It’s still a mind altering substance that’s creating something. We can look at in a good or bad light. The good could be, maybe they believe it calms whatever mental illness is bothering them. Missing a dose though creates excuses to do something bad and also created dependency which then trickles into $$$ for the pharma companies

Of all the shrinks I’ve been to or have known...they are all shrinks because they are trying to figure out their own lives. They haven’t quite done that but are able to help you with yours..
....I thought I had a joke in me :p

Yeah psychiatry is a clear example of a paradigm of belief being called objective. The axiom that the mind is nothing more than chemical reactions, so just throwing some different chemicals into the brain stew and presto you have a new mind. It is profoundly materialistic and it can be established pretty easily that the view of reality that everything is material is false. But its the only way to monetize mental illness. Telling patients to meditate, pray, eat healthy, give up negative habits, find ways to generate positive emotions, investigate philosophy and the big questions on life, doesnt make money for anyone. Also it would lead to a healthy society that cant be manipulated or controlled

How many people here have taken psychiatric drugs?
Do you feel they did any good?

I have been prescribed loads. I even took some of them.
None seemed to do much good.

The ones that did had side effects that made me stop taking them.

I far prefer to self medicate with drugs of my own choosing.

If the mind is only matter, then why does it contain or access the laws of logic which defy the laws of materiality? If the laws of logic followed the patterns of matter, then they would be in constant flux and be able to evolve into their opposite. Can the number 9 evolve into the number 11? Can a law of logic evolve or change into the opposite meaning? Obviously that's absurd and it only makes sense if they exist in a non-material state.

You do though, NHS is still an insurance system.
Technically I expect you are right.
But it doesn't seem to work in the same way.

The NHS is likely to give the minimum possible treatment, and the cheapest possible option. Because they are paying.

Take these generic pills and get out, kind of thing.

let me put this in a way even you can understand. I’ll say what I feel like where I feel like and I don’t give one god damn about what a person like you thinks, k thanks
If you had something relatvant in any way to contribute it would be better than just saying "please stop talking about this guys. it reminds me of one of the arbitrary categories of ideas that im scared of". Not going to respond to your next post because I dont want to bury the thread in irrelavant posts

Idk if drugs like anti-psychotics are that much than a placebo. I would have to take a hard look at the data, but I'm kind of biased. Like I already think the science is sketchy, or that the science is biased.

Let's say a person has a behavior problem, brought on by being slapped by their mother or father. Giving that person drugs as a fix is kind of like hitting them in the face again. It's as if more abuse is a good cure for abuse.

Firefighters do fight fire with fire sometimes. In the case of psychiatry, suppression shouldn't be the goal though.

They are far more than a placebo.
These drugs seriously fk with your mind.

I have seen fairly normal, intelligent people turned into shambling wrecks by the application of the chemical cosh.

I know I'm just saying there are studies which prove the drugs "work". At least at suppressing whatever symptom a person has. Those studies may be total crap, but they do exist.

Also, I'm not sure that drugs alter the mind itself. My argument is that drugs alter the way the body functions, things like tiredness, irregular sleep patterns, blurry vision. Those things unsettle the mind in unpredictable ways.

It works exactly the same. That’s the problem.
