The quote you posted makes it sound like covid was downgraded due to the response put in place. The wording is funny so idk what to make of it. I’m also not familiar enough with what is going on in Britain to try to parse that together... American news seems to be covered in depth globally but in America all that’s covered is American news with sometimes some footnotes about other places.

And what exactly does that have to do with anything? People all over the world are clapping or doing other things to thank health care workers. That tells me nothing.
You said you didn’t know what was going on in Britain..I was giving you some info.

Well here in the UK we have mk ultra style news channels that pump out hard core fear porn, lots and lots of heroic NHS staff all doing crazy dance routines in curiously quiet looking hospitals and all supermarkets have turned into training camps for zombies but other than that all seems to be as normal.

That is probably international from what I have heard from different Asian countries like Malaysia, Thailand and Japan.

Someone thinks she’s serious..she gets death threats.
I thought all celebs got those.
Isn't it some weird kind of virtue signalling like?

Haha!!!!
OMG!

President Trump unfollowed Piers Morgan!!!
And they reported it like it was news...

This whole world is like some kind of virtual panopticon ass kissing/ass kicking contest for the amusement and delight of the plebs!

Bread and circuses!!!
MORE!!!!!

Being trapped in a toxic home makes it harder for anyone - child or adult - dealing with it. And yes it would be harder to run away and would be harder to report because most reports come from collateral contacts (schools, drs, relatives)

I’m still in touch with and in groups with my former colleagues from both NJ and PA and there hasn’t been any rumblings about increases or consequences from the shut in yet. Other then neglect pieces due to lack of money.. and I was really worried about it so that is good news as far as I’m concerned.

Unless it just means less is being reported and that would be very bad..
I thought about this for a minute and I think it would all depend on age because age is going to determine coping mechanisms for abuse. Younger children in abusive homes have different coping mechanisms than older kids, but all kids are going to be finding a way to escape in one form or another right now.

If I was 14 or older, this would actually seem like a good time to run away because there would be no one who could report you for ditching school or something like that. I would get a friend and go somewhere small enough that they didn't have their own police station in the town. Somewhere that has a sheriff for a whole area and find something that was abandoned and not expected to be used during the lockdown.

Then, you would have to figure out who would let you work as a minor. The upside and downside of child labor laws present themselves when people won't let you work without permission from an adult when you need to work because adults can be bad people.

But schools are often a place that requires many kids to fake it and I don't really think they serve as good opportunities to report abuse anyway especially when you start getting older, so I hope someone out there is using this opportunity to find a way out. I don't know that it's really possible, but that is what I would hope for.

The first link below would seem to indicate you're more likely to get it locked inside your home than out in public.
