They actually did close the liquor stores. Effective midnight tonight.. I am sure I’ll be able to get there. I’m just not sure I want to get there.
Weigh what’s in your best bet.
If this lock down prevents you from getting back home. Just something to ponder.

Honestly, what's the issue with toilet paper? I'm looking at the news as we speak, and there's hundreds of people in lines at different stores. I know toilet paper is needed...but I just don't think people need to be buying like 5 bundles of it.
Panic buying, they see every one else doing it so it dominoes out

I work in healthcare technically. But it isn’t essential healthcare so I was hoping this would be more of an optional thing.. I had massive anxiety when I thought I was laid off, and now I’m having massive anxiety about being recalled. If I don’t go I will lose my job, that much is clear.

My mother in law is similarly trapped in Brooklyn right now because she is considered essential healthcare staff. She called her Union this morning and unless she gets sick herself she is expected to be at work or be terminated. We were hoping she could come stay out here in the country with us.. where it’s less of a Petri dish then nyc (only one case in the surrounding counties, none in the county where I live or work). But clearly that isn’t going to happen.

Just don’t live in fear. So far most cases seem to be mild.
Italy’s problem is that there medical establishments were overloaded so they couldn’t attend to those because it was just mass chaos. That’s why the world governments saw that mistake and are trying to keep their countries from that same fate.

Now as for the actual virus? I have a little theory if you fell sick from December to now. You more than likely had it.

I was pretty damn sick in late jan/early feb. sinus infection, fever, headache, phlegm galore, shortness of breathe and stuffiness. Basically I had upper respiratory illness for like a week and a half. And it was bad.

My wife got it, our son got it mild. My pops got really bad, my mom got really bad and both of my brothers got it mild but one of my brothers did end up with the flu.

So I think this thing has been circulating for quite some time outside of China.
The only question is why is it affecting italy the way it is?
Like I said earlier, we might see totally different results in both infections and fatalities ** than those seen in Asia/Eastern Hemisphere because as you said, it may already have been around. But my inkling is that they could juice it up with something else (know what has been sprayed lately in the air??) or aerosolize something deadlier and claim it is coronavirus. There is a reason WHO waited a good while, this time around, to declare a pandemic. They don’t want to look stupid like they did in 2009, so the pandemic they’ve declared has to come to fruition…..meaning many people have to die some how.

**these differences would be choked up to “China never reported the real figures”.
Trine Maria Ilsøe, DR's court correspondent, said that Danish citizens could face prosecution under the new law if they refused to comply with health authorities' demands. "It means that you could be sentenced to a punishment if you, for example, refuse to allow yourself to be tested for coronavirus," she said.
The Ministry of Health will now work with the Ministry of Justice on the details of how the police will work with health officials to enforce their demands.
As well as enforcing quarantine measures, the law also allows the authorities to force people to be vaccinated, even though there is currently no vaccination for the virus.

This made sad because going by terrorism laws enacted around the world every time there is an attack, these laws tend to stay on the books. Yes, it will expire after a year but could just as easily be resurrected after that. The criminalization of the antivaxx-choice is what I asked our forum resident doctor about, not many months ago.God only knows what would be coming down that needle.
Plus who the hell is going to want to go work at ground zero during a pandemic? So we are talking about food and worker shortages.
According to documents released in regard to the film Contagion, the CDC saw it as “their Top Gun”. Their involvement with the film would produce results as those that Top Gun produced for the Navy. Link

I have the exact same theory.
My client was out sick for two weeks in January with the flu and then bronchitis. Atleast that’s what they diagnosed him with. The day he got sick I was sitting with him and out of nowhere he turned sheet white and started shaking. I couldn’t get him to eat a goldfish (his favorite snack). He started getting all clammy.. it was really rough and lasted way longer then typical childhood illness.

According to the CDC itself, the Influenza and pneumonia have a death rate between 6% and 8%.

Yet this COVID19 death rate is about 3.4%. So the flu is more deadly than this...the media are lying again.

I don’t think we’ll have clear answers on a lot of things until more time has passed. Right now, other people’s panic is the biggest concern. There is lots of food, and stores will be restocked within a day or two. Once the panic buying dies down, we’ll be able to get anything we need again. Patience is key right now.

Also, I highly, highly, doubt that we’ll see martial law. The national guard may be called into certain areas — especially if people continue to lose their minds — but there is no good reason why they’d enact martial law. Please relax.

Yeah I’m not seeing where they are getting that figure because further down the page says something completely opposite. UNLESS that is the fatality rate for pneumonia and influenza combined with pneumonia being the main culprit.. which is part of the problem here, corona mimics and/or causes pneumonia.

Does anyone have any information on whether this causes bloody stools?

I saw that someone local to me just dropped at a store, and they defecated themselves and it was bloody.

I'm worried because I have bloody stools today, I'm on the phone with the emergency nurse but I'm on a waitlist.

Covid-19 is a mutated form of pneumonia. The freakout is cause it’s well a mutated form.

When I played sports in high scool. Mrsa was a huge deal back then. It was this roided out version of a staph infection that the medical industry had no cure/knowledge of. So think this but on a larger scale with the world. The panic really is just trying to figure out the new strain

No.

You might want to go to the doc for that. If you’re on a waitlist though and to put your mind at ease . Make sure you don’t have anything like ulcer, fissures, polyps etc

Look at the curves:

The death rate is higher than COVID19. These stats were before it was discovered too. Media = lying through their teeth.
