Yes many schools are temporary closing doors and now mosques and churches need to cancel all religious gathering for a month in France.
It takes large proportion for something that was supposed to be a simple flu that was not needing prevention at our borders and airports.
They're not speaking about it be we're suspecting that the French president is infected. Wait and see.

Trump is going live tonight with some sort of national address.

He’s already been working toward some form of relief for wage workers — most of whom have no insurance for this kind of thing — and he’s also apparently convinced health insurance companies to waive all copays on coronavirus testing, and to cover treatment for coronavirus.

I think Americans can look forward to a national quarantine, with all gatherings of more than 100 people cancelled, and a 14-day hold for anyone at the border.

Canada has no plan, or visible leader, at this time.

Nope not true.

But this is getting totally stupid. People are buying TOILET PAPER in large quantities. How retarded can you be, this isn't a shitting disease. If all turns bad wash your behind in the shower for God's sake. Just goes on to show that human herd mentality has the age level of a 5 year old. The economic repercussions of this are going to be much worse than the virus itself, obviously. China only had 0.005% infection rate and they say the worst is over while other countries claim up to 70% of the nation could be infected? This is obviously bullshit and meant to cause mass panic. Maybe this fake pandemic was meant to cover up the upcoming financial crash. What a perfect excuse for a world depression...

Yeah quarantine is looking extremely likely..

I don’t like what I’ve seen of his plans. They won’t help people who can’t go to work at all, aren’t salaried and have no paid time off. And those are the people who will be most hard hit.

Also I have no insurance so idk how a waived copay would help me or the tens of millions like me.

The virus does seem like a distraction.
The mass hysteria is annoying. You summed it up spot on. It’s a herd mentality. People are suckers and need to be led. The supposed free thinkers.

Lost faith in humanity this go

It’s my understanding that’s who the help is for. If that’s the case, Trump is sure to say so tonight.

Can you see how this would help a lot of people, though? I am going to guess there’s going to be an announcement for what people like you can expect, too.

Well I will wait and see. The preliminary reports I did see weren’t promising, but I am willing to be wrong (and hopeful I am).

Yes I do see how it would help people. It just falls short of helping ALL people.. and it’s always the same people who fall through the cracks. If I wasn’t working I’d be on Medicaid, I wouldn’t have to worry.. it would be covered.

There is no plan other than get ready for a lot of people to get sick. There doesn’t seem to be a plan to stop it from spreading.
At it’s best. It’s an aggressive flu. Typical run of the mill flu season.
Just like your typical flu season, the elderly, young and the those with underlying health conditions are at risk of death.

I can repeat this damn post 12 times in a row and people will still panic.
Thanks to our beloved media everyone is in a damn hysterical panic like no other.

If you’re panicking now. What better are you if a system did collapse? I just don’t get it

Is it?

I’m an investor too.
Stocks have their good and bad days. Not worried here.
I’m not worried about me losing money in the market. I have decades before it will matter. My mother who lives off her investments is a completely different scenario.. and yes it will eventually rebound. I get that.

But this isn’t just about the markets. How many people are going to lose work and income? How many businesses are going to lose business collaterally because their clients don’t have money? This ripples out in a million different ways.. so yes, it is collapsing atm. It isn’t a permanent collapse but it is a collapse. How bad it will get depends on many things.

I don’t understand people stocking up on toilet paper. That I don’t get.. and I said it weeks ago as I saw my normal cart items oddly get sold out in random patterns. Toilet paper isn’t going to do anything.

But when people feel out of control they latch on to anything that can give them a feeling of control. Apparantly for a lot of people that’s the ability to wipe their asses.. who knew?

I gotcha.

This panic is affecting financially. Less travel, states are trying to limit people interaction. So businesses etc will feel it. Hopefully this isn’t too long. I can’t see this hype extending past april.

Good luck to your mom. You’re a smart lady though. So everything will work out

@Thunderian

It’s my understanding this needs to go through the Health Committee first, as these things normally do, but the Democrats are trying to speed it through without discussion. It’s a political setup, as usual.

It’s funny, you know, because the Democrats accused Trump of overreacting when he shut down travel from China a month ago, but suddenly they’re in a massive hurry to do something.

I’m pretty sure emergency measures do not have to go through committee but I’ll look into it

The US is suspending all travel to Europe for the next 30 days. Restrictions do not apply to the UK. Restrictions remain in other countries. It sounds like a supposed preventative concoction will be offered. A conversation in itself. Trump wants to cancel large gatherings, so there is that too. He will take emergency action for financial relief per conference. He is calling financial help for small businesses. Tax payments will be delayed for businesses with no penalties. So, in a capsule, no euro visits either way now.

The toilet paper thing is funny. Also canned goods, bottled water, Kleenex and other off-label tissues, antibacterial wipes, now probably baby wipes and other cleaning products for bottoms, and, as always, milk and bread because in the South, everyone buys milk and bread during emergencies. Make sure to add eggs so you can do French toast.

He is doing absolutely nothing economically -

Copays waived. How the hell is that going to help the uninsured?

Payroll tax. How the hell is that going to help the hourly workers who can’t go to work and have no paycheck at all to even be subject to the payroll tax?

Fuck him

Guys, there will be no more traveling between the US and Europe. Tbh people shouldn't be traveling at all or going on cruises, the virus is really occurring on many cruises. Also yes, during school they handed out papers about links to online sites where we high school students can continue doing our school work. There's a possibility my school will close next week, or the week after next week.

I'm honestly starting to think this virus is a thing for 2 reasons: Because the elite created it, and because it's a warning from God.

By the way, I also hear the virus is getting more attracted to people of European nation's...colored people aren't really getting it for some reason, hm..
