I've never posted before, but I felt compelled to share that this is one of the most fascinating threads I've ever read. Several of you have brought up things I never considered, and I have a lot to research for myself. Just a sort of 'thank you' from a forever lurker.

And this - John the Baptist speaking about Christ Jesus ... as I know you know.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and [with] fire:
What do you think that fire is that we are going to be baptized with?

And the un-believers don’t fare so well..
Matthew‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭
His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Interesting question thank-you. I would say Spirit.

Fire is akin to Spirit - both rise ... as water is akin to bodies - both sink.

So the Spirit component of the human Being should increase by that baptism.

Yes, it won't be at all nice for those who reject faith.

Horrendous is an understatement.

I always took it to mean that we also get baptized with tribulation..after all Jesus tells us that in this world we will have tribulation.
John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.

I suppose it's connected in a way - all happening at the same time, because the tribulation probably helps us pay for the wrongs we have done, also teaching patience, fortitude, humility; kindness, love, etc., in the process, which are all traits of the Spirit.

So the more we become like Spirit the more Spirit will like us, and want to join with us? Like attracts like.

Enoch
66:14 And when the angels shall ascend, the water of the springs shall again undergo a change, and be frozen. Then I heard holy Michael answering and saying: This Judgement, with which the angels (Beings - souls) shall be judged, shall bear testimony against the kings, the princes, and those who possess (and think they own) the Earth.
66:15 For these waters of judgement shall be for their healing, and for the death of their bodies (Flood and Watery-Baptism). But they shall not perceive and believe that the waters will be changed, and become a fire (Luke 3:16), which shall blaze forever (Fiery-Baptism or The Fire - the choice is yours).
67:1 After this he (angel Michael - Dan. 10:21) gave me the Signs of all secret things in the Book of my great grandfather Enoch, and in the (three) parables which had been given to him (by God); inserting them for me (Noah), among the words of the Book and the parables (ch. 38:1 - ch. 68:42).

The reason for the tribulations of saints...being that the lost hate us? Which God can use for good, that’s for sure.

What attracted the Spirit to us sinners in the first place then?

Yes, as well ... several things thrown into one.

But I think the word saints is a Catholic invention; 'holy people' may be more accurate.

I can only guess, that, amongst other things, there must have been enough spirit.

Excerpt from Philip's Gospel
Man mixes with man, horse mixes with horse, ass mixes with ass. The kinds mix with those of like kind. So also spirit is wont to mix only with spirit and the Word to consort with the Word and the Light to consort with the Light. If thou become man men will love thee. If thou become spirit the Spirit will be joined to thee. If thou become (and not just speak) the Word, it is the Word which will mix with thee. If thou become Light, it is the Light which will consort with thee. If thou become one of those who belong above, those who belong above will find their rest in thee. If thou become horse, or ass, or bull, or dog, or goat, or any other animal of those outside and those below (or as in the case of some people all of them), then neither man nor Spirit, nor the Word nor Light, nor those above nor those within will be able to love thee. They will not be able to find rest in or with thee and thou hast no part in them.

No to both.

Jesus said after He died God would send His Spirit to believers to be their Helper. That’s why we Christians have the Spirit of God in us.

By those answers it looks like you're saying that you're a saint who has the Holy Spirit?

Can you clarify what the 'like' means please?

Confirming that you are a saint who has the Holy Spirit?

Another 'like' - no response.

Well, a third party might see that as arrogant, which also matches the language used unfortunately. Far from being saintly?

Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

But I must say it seems in matters of hearth and home you seem to be top of the class.

Or a third party would see that as agreeing with you...how is that arrogant?

From the last page of The Way home or face The Fire by JAH

The King of kings’ Bible.

“Seek and ye shall find. Ask and ye shall be given . . .”

The culmination of nearly 60 years of preparation, The King of kings’ Bible provides a unique interpretation of the Books of The Old Covenant, The New Covenant and The Koran; and includes important Books and parts of Books that were previously removed by various churches and religious organizations. All three Books are fully cross-referenced so that, for the first time, readers will understand the relationships and complete harmony between them.

The Book of God’s first Prophet, Enoch (Idris), through whom God prophesied that His Revelations would be tampered with - and some of the Revelations removed and ignored - has been correctly translated and reinstated.

Chapter 34 of the Book of Ezekiel is presented in its correct interpretation. Mis-translations of Christ’s teaching in Matthew Ch. 6 and Ch. 23 have been corrected so that Matthew now rightfully contains the fulfillment of Ezekiel Ch. 34.

Accurate translation has resulted in the word “community” being used instead of “church”, and “holy people” instead of “saints”.

The whole of the Gospel according to Thomas has been reinstated, as has the last chapter of The Book of Acts. The missing section of the Revelation to John, which was previously removed from the Bible, has been restored.

In the Holy Koran, Sura 2:125 and 2:127, Ishmael is now correctly identified as Isaac, which now identifies Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem as the Holy Place and Jerusalem as the Holy City. The Koran is, for the first time, fully cross-referenced to The Old Covenant and The New Covenant.

There are also many other areas of these important Books where historical interference has been corrected - too numerous to list here. You will read many Books and verses that the various and ancient “vested interests” have deliberately hidden from you over the years.

The King of kings’ Bible is dedicated to world peace and understanding. It is a new Bible for a new millennium and new beginning.

Questions:
1) Why is Turkey really escalating the situation in Idlib? Is it still about the Kurds?

2) Why is Turkey currently attempting to release refugee migrants they have housed for months (some reportedly for more than a year) into Europe in the midst of the Corona virus scare?

3) What is Turkey really doing in Libya?
