You are giving non answers to try to obscure things. Most homeless people work. Many homeless people do not have addiction issues. What requirements would they need to meet for you to give them housing? And if you aren’t giving them a sandwich or a pair of shoes because you say it doesn’t solve their problem of being homeless but you aren’t willing to give them housing to actually solve their problem of being homeless than what exactly are you trying to say and why can’t you just be blunt with your unwillingness to help those who are struggling and own it? If there’s nothing to be ashamed of why these dirty tactics?
That’s where we differ..I think most homeless people have addiction issues. Which makes it difficult to help them.

I think helping yourself is the best help. You can give a helping hand but in the end it will be on the individual to help themselves won’t it? That’s the key to success.

I have more a mind set of teaching a person to fish then providing them with the fish...that’s my perspective on what help means. That’s why I say feeding them isn’t help..its creating dependency and it perpetuates a problem..being homeless.

Does feeding someone and giving them a pair of shoes solve their homeless problem?

I would buy an island or an isolated land area for myself to escape this crazy society. I would hire private security and setup some type of computerized surveillance system to protect me and the area. I'd build a huge house with solar panels to generate electricity. I would also grow food in farms, trees and hydroponics that would be supervised by myself. I'd probably just put half of that fortune in the bank and let it fructify with high interest rates and give 25% of that to charities or causes I am interested in.

I would buy a slightly larger island or isolated lands than the previous poster.... (meee? childish?...nooo)

I wouldn't bother with security as my island would be protected by an intricate system of pop up machine guns buried under towels on the beach. (Should have thought of that Epstein)

I'd build a moderately sized house constructed of a natural faraday cage and would power it off the electrical substation I had built before moving in (apparently solar panels take years to pay for themselves)

I would grow some food but would get the majority of my essentials from high end internet sites who have competitive rates of delivery. I would grow shitloads of weed though, purely for medicinal purposes obviously. (Coughs)

I wouldn't give a penny to a bank, I'd probably invest heavily into any organisation who bombed them. (When they are closed, not to kill anybody)

I would get myself a nice silver suit, a big swivel chair in a room with lots of monitors in and a big furry white cat to stroke.

I would be then on my mission to rid the world of narcissistic psycopaths.

Never saw much point in this kind of wondering.
Its a hypothetical situation..you don’t know what you really will do until you find yourself in that situation...everyone thinks they will be so benevolent but when it comes down to it...ya never know.

1 Timothy 6:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

etc.

Mine says..
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭
For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Oh! That's interesting!
I shall have to investigate more.
It's a fine difference, but a difference nontheless.

Would you interpret the difference to be that in your translation money is not the root off all evils, just some, and that in some cases the love of money is ok?

He was King James the first.

Bit of a weirdo, really.

Why is your KJV different from mine?

I'm not sure ..I got mine at a reputable car boot sale in Scunthorpe in the Summer. I thought the guy who was selling it looked a bit dodgy. Do you think I may have been ripped off or do you think the message in each bible is slightly different....to prove that God does actually move in mysterious ways?

How many pages has yours got?

Mine was signed with love from KJ on the inside cover but I think this may have been added later by somebody as a joke.

You have to be careful in Scunthorpe in the summer.
I think you got a dodgy knock off.

Mine was my great grandmother's, so it has the advantage of that old book smell that proper bibles should have.

It has too many very very thin pages to count.

Did she go all atheist in the end and not need it? Terrible, probably listened to too much pop music.

I've never smelt mine to be honest.

I think it is a difference yes.
No, I think that the love of money has all sorts of evils attached to it and not just one kind. I don’t think if you love money that that’s good at all, but I do think that this world revolves around money..you need money to live..however don’t let that become your god or it will go wrong for you. A fine line for sure...
