If Iowa is any indication, they’re going to be good, and they’re definitely going to need their own thread.

With 92% of precincts reporting, just 48 hours after the primary opened, the results in Iowa are as follows:

Buttigieg26.5%
Sanders25.6%
Warren18.2%
Biden15.9%
Klobuchar12.1%
Yang1.0%
Steyer0.3%
Uncommitted0.2%
Other0.0%
Bloomberg0.0%
Gabbard0.0%
Bennet0.0%
Delaney0.0%
Patrick0.0%

They say Biden’s done, and that the reason this took so long is because Sanders ran away with it, and they’ve spent the last two days trying to carve away his numbers and give it to Bootyjudge.

Politicians are always "done" or canceled. Then they win a primary, and everyone forgets all the shady shit they did to get canceled. This is as American as apple pie.

It’s easier to give votes to someone who is closer to first than to someone who’s in fourth. Sorry if the phonetic rendering of Bootyjudge’s name offends you. I had the hardest time pronouncing it, at first, and that’s the way I see it in my head.

Buttigieg is like Biden part 2. He is a neoliberal, more in line with the elite members of the party. Lots of people would want him to “succeed” rather than sanders or warren.

I’m curious how Biden did so badly after he’s been consistently in the lead this whole time

From what I’ve read, Biden came late, didn’t really campaign, was badly organized, and when he did campaign, he was underwhelming. Apparently, his team is planning on doing better in later primaries, and didn’t put much effort into Iowa.

I guess... but that would require a whole bunch of people who actually care about meeting a candidate. I’m shocked people like this exist. He’s from here I think... haven’t seen him here either. Isn’t swaying me either way. He just sucks.

Those all just sound like after the fact rationalizations. Reminiscent of Hilary. People who don’t want to accept that they just aren’t what people want. Recognizing that would have saved everyone a lot of trouble in 2016, I hope they can avoid making the same mistake twice.

That’s exactly what I thought. The approach makes it look like Biden and his team taking his winning the nomination for granted, and to someone like me, and I’m sure a lot of others, it looks like Biden’s just marking time until his coronation at the convention. But anyone can see he needs to work for this.

The Hunter/Burisma thing is not helping. People are asking legitimate questions of him, but he’s made it pretty clear he’s not interested in clearing anything up. It’s possible (although it seems unlikely, given the way they’ve been reading things up to this point) that the DNC sees the writing on the wall, and is throwing to Buttigieg. Hence the mess in Iowa, and could be why Buttigieg was the first to give a victory speech.

I think Iowa’s system is like the electoral
College or something. It should be based on number of votes. Across the board. But it didn’t work that way for trump either.

Biden is done, after everything that has come out, and with the Acquittal and now formal investigations into Hunter happening there is absolutely no way the Dems are going to want to have him run against Trump. Trump will eat him alive. They also do not want Sanders to be the front runner, for as far Left as the Dems are, they are not so stupid to run an outright Communist against Trump, again Trump will murder him.

The fact is, Sanders IS the actual candidate that SHOULD be winning, just like he actually beat Hilary last year, but it would be a literal landslide of an election to put him against Trump, or honestly Republican. Americans are not yet going to be voting for outright declared Communists. Too bad for Bernie that he is so old, in 8 years there is a good chance with the brainwashed college kids and teens out here now, that by then they would be stupid enough to vote for a Communist Dictator. At this time, there are still enough sensible Americans to know that Communism is terrible and Bernie would lose against probably anyone that is not a Communist.

I guess at this point they are just stuck with Bootyjudge, Warren really doesnt have a chance either. Honestly unless they find some super Democrat to join in late (not Hilary or Bloomberg) then it doesnt matter who they put up there, this is going to be a landslide win for Trump. The Dems have so screwed up everything they have touched over the past 4 years that only those who were already die hard idiot Dems are still supporting what they do and who they run.

I dont believe they have moved even 1 moderate undecided voter to their side, they have if anything lost support, while Trump has captured all the moderates, all the undecided and stolen probably even a chunk of Dem voters. I personally havent heard many if any people who were Republicans be like, man the way our Country is going, and what Trump has done has forced me to go to the other side. I have however seen in dozens and dozens of comments of people saying WTF happened to my Dem party, they are insane and have screwed up so badly I had to leave and go Trump.

Trump is going to win 2020 and I can only sit back and laugh as he trolls the crap out of these moronic Leftists, I hope it causes even more snowflake students to force their Universities to shut down and cordon off "Safe Spaces" to help them deal with the butt hurt they will be feeling as they cry their delicious liberal tears.

Fill'er up!!!
