I know, right? But it has a disclaimer in it somewhere to eventually let you know. I know it's used for odor control, but I have no experience using it for mold. I'm not ready to dismiss it yet until I do some more research. Then of course I would shop around to see who had the best deal on bagged activated charcoal. I got a mini-fridge sized dehumidifier to keep the air drier because it gets humid here. Plus it's good for drying up the air after showers, boiling water, etc. The one I've got is on casters so it can just be rolled to different parts of the house. Also have some of the bigger Holmes air cleaners (the ones about the size of a box fan) and they work great but the replacement hepa filters cost a bit. My vacuum (upright Bissel) also has hepa filtration in it.That turned into an ad so subtly that I had my credit card half out my wallet before I snapped out of it.
Seriously, though, do you have personal experience with activated charcoal as a way to fight mould?
Been wanting to reply but kept forgetting. I'm sorry you've been affected too Phithx and thank you for sharing. I get angry still from this horrible experience. It has turned my life upside down but doing my best to remain positive and thinking it could have been worse. From personal experience as well - with quick and low maintenance solution - daily and regularly for the rest of one's life.
1. Diluted bleach in a spray bottle, sprayed on surfaces and in the air - learned from a Chemical Engineer that bleach is not as environment unfriendly as I thought it was, because is breaks down quickly to plain salt!
2. Mould seems to come simply from varying degrees of dust + moisture + warmth + darkness? so regular vacuuming goes a long way.
3. Drink a bit of diluted apple cider vinegar every day, and take some ginger daily as well. Diluted lemon juice probably as well.

I recently found mold on a wall that hasn't been painted over yet and I poured ACV and the mold looks dead. It's not bright colored and it looks dried up. I recommend AVC more than bleach, not only is it safer, it really works.
You're very welcome. I really liked you recommendations, we really need to eliminate the mold from our bodies.Thank-you for your reply Glad 2 know, and understood, thank-you.
Yes, mould is a slow killer. So probably best to never let it get a foothold. You're very welcome. I really liked you recommendations, we really need to eliminate the mold from our bodies.
I have become somewhat paranoid about it. I'm always checking to see if I find any in in high-moisture areas. I kinda laugh about it now because before I cared but now it's like I'm constantly on a missionYes, mould is a slow killer. So probably best to never let it get a foothold.

I recommend these to people I know. I cringe when I see lysol or bleach or any toxic cleaner. This is off topic but I know two acquaintances that used bleach to clean everything like there is no tomorrow. One of them fgot some type of bone cancer in her leg and the other one developed a very debilitating condition. Coincidence? I think not.For interest sake:

Could there be a bit of the curses of The Law playing out with that one lady? going against The Law in some others ways too, apart from harming the environment.I recommend these to people I know. Not much experience of being infected by it, but I know from others to take it very seriously.Curious question: When I was at my natural doc and she drew a dry blood on me, she said I had mold in my blood. I have grown up within whats called a "sick house" and after that a little cottage I just found out has mold. What are the symptoms of this and is it enough to move and it'll heal itself or does one has to take measures?
