Any time I see an organization that supports Palestinians and has peace in the title, it’s almost a guarantee that the only peace they’ll accept is one where a Jewish state doesn’t exist.Jewsforpeace
Are you really going to tell me that public vs private land ownership played no role here? That there were no Palestinians tied to the land that was sold or conquered? If that was the case we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
Anyway, they’re feeding you lies, and you’d figure this out if you’d stop and think about it. You’re trying to tell us that the Arabs have always possessed the land, but that Jews began showing up in small numbers and somehow stealing it from the rightful owners. And that the Arabs just let that happen, even though they outnumbered the Jews.
You’re trying to tell us that the Jews who bought land did so illegitimately. Do you imagine that the Jews just went down to the British authorities, told them which particular piece of Arab land they wanted, and the Brits just handed over the title? Proof, please, of such a ridiculous tale.
As far as the land that was won in the multiple wars that Israel fought against attacking Arab nations, you realize that 20 percent of Israel is made up of Arabs, right? How do you imagine they ended up as full citizens of Israel, if not by staying put on their own land?
The thing is, we shouldn’t be having this discussion. The Arabs in Palestine should have recognized the state of Israel in 1948, and saved themselves generations of woe. What has their resistance to Jews living in Palestine gotten them? What will continued terror and intransigence get them in the future?
