I’m reading conflicting reports. Some say panic. Others say chill out the regular flu is worse. Idk. I’m withholding judgement for the time being.

As I said earlier though a lot of people seem to be panicking because face masks are either sold out or price gauged on amazon right now.
The problem is that since the strain is new, there is no treatment or cure right now. The virus is causing a form of viral pneumonia and viral pneumonia in general are very hard to treat. You can withstand getting the virus if you have strong immunity but its hard for someone to determine the level of immunity they have plus there have already been lots of deaths.

Stay healthy, don't panic and if you get the symptoms go to the hospital and youll be fine.

It isn't some conspiracy by Bill Gates like people here are hyping it up. Its just a new viral strain, nothing world ending.

I feel like the entire idea of creating man made viruses is playing with fire
I do not think that this particular virus is man made. (At least I hope not)
But yeah they do this, and I agree.
It reminds me of the Stephen King book 'The Stand' .. the Book is obviously a horror novel but it may also be a warning about govts playing with viruses. Basically, in the book, almost everyone in the world gets wiped out by an accident at a US govt facility playing with viruses except a few people who were immune to it. It was a freaky book, I read it when a was younger.
A friend of mine got sick last week, and now I'm coming down with it. It's seriously messed up that this is happening during cold/flu season. There are so many people sick in US right now being the season..
I am trying not to freak out. o_O

Local news tonight said one student at TX A&M is being watched after showing signs and another student at Baylor University in Waco, TX is also being watched after showing signs.

I couldn't find anything about that on Twitter. Can you post a link? Is TX one of the places that flights are being 'diverted' to for screenings? I think there are 4 places they are doing this in the US.. where I am LA being one of them. However.. I do not think this a smart idea.. because the virus has an incubation period of 3-6 days. People can come here with no symptoms, and then get symptoms later.
Extra screwed up is that this is all happening during the time of the Chinese lunar New year celebrations.. so a lot of ppl have been travelling from there since mid Jan or travelling to there and from a ton of places.. even before the travel restrictions started. I think the actual festival is tonight. Crazy timing.

I’m at a swimming gala all day! It’s amazing how many 11 hour audiobooks you can get through in a year ;-)
Have fun at the gala.. I love swimming :)
I looked at the general synopsis on Wikipedia.
The part about Genesis with all dead priests kind of turned me off. The book has no God.. but references the Bible and creation. It is too Babylonian for me. I have found this a lot in the arts.. biblical :Dreferences and apocalypse or Messianic themes with no God or risen Christ but earthly man based. That is like.. 666. But hey.. if you have 11 hours to entertain that..
all the power to you. LoL. I just can't. o_O:eek:

I think the virus is way more serious than we are told about.
If we consired the numbers it would seem it's less dangerous than a flu...but then we have China that are locking 13 cities telling people not to go out and building a mega hospital in few days....
You don't lock cities for a flu.

There’s a suspected case in North Carolina. The person flew through jfk.. my husband has to fly out of jfk in a couple days. He’s considering going early and selling face masks in the parking lot. He was also considering just driving but that’s not going to happen... the plane ticket is already paid for.

Au contraire, @Stephania - God appears in the book as does His son. I get that some people love allegory and others hate it - I guess it all depends how you are wired up.
