IDK. When I was young, I only had to show a BC and SS. To get the real ID, I had to show a BC, SS and a utility bill. Security upgraded.
When I moved to Pennsylvania I had to show bc, ss and either a utility bill or two pieces of official mail to prove my address. Or a tax bill and bring the homeowner with me. This was 15 years ago.

I seen this on the news 2 or 3 weeks ago. It's the truth, I'll provide the link in a second as an edit, but on the news there was a long line of people, people were saying "Yeah man, I gotta get this ID or I can't go on a plane, or pay my bills, or drive, life would be tough without this ID. You HAVE to get it"

As you read this article, notice the MARKING for the ID is a STAR.
I don’t see how that is any different from the I’d we are already required to have for those things. The only change is the plane. My bank and employer have not said anything about changes to their requirements mimicking the changes to the I’d. While I understand people being freaked out I don’t think it’s really that serious. They should be freaked out about needing id period then.

I’m more concerned about this toll-less billing and traffic cameras being put all over the place tbh.

Then maybe the burden is on the state not the individual. Counterfeiting and all. My fake id was just a dude that looked like me, just for the bars.

All of this stuff will happen AFTER October 1rst, and as I said with the whole war situation going on- it'll be worse. One of the biggest things that will occur is a HUGE economic collapse. For now, you could probably travel but it'll just get more difficult as days go by. Wonder how I'm going to deal with this when I'm at the appropriate age to get this ID..

The business cycle is basic economics. It will come, no one knows when. People thought the economy was great in 07 and boom, crash.
I thought they thought it was going to be the big one then..but it wasn’t. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but this the sky is falling all the time isn’t helpful imo.

So, is he getting impeached or what? I have no idea about US politics being from the UK.

Seriously though beginning to feel like most of the stories in this forum belong in the entertainment forum cause I mean what the hell is half of this stuff but mindless distractions from what's really going on. More slight of hand while everybody's watching the royals furore and Trumps supposed impeachment trial.

What do you think is really going on?

What I’m saying is you already need I’d to do all those things people are worried about. The only thing that’s changing is the verification used to get the Id.

Yeah, I'm not too happy about the real ID thing because I like to avoid going to the DMV period. I'm more upset about this inconvenience than the actual ID. I don't know, it is just one more form of identification. I don't really see how this helps bolster the validity of my id especially when I use it for literally nothing most of the time. I only use it when I get carded sometimes when I am buying a bottle of wine, at the bank but I use the atm 99% of the time so that doesn't matter too. Every now and then someone will card me if I use a credit card like they are supposed to do. I can't think of one of the random other times I get asked for an id because they are not that often.

So I don't really see it as that big of a deal. They aren't trying to combine it with my bank account or take a blood specimen, so I don't really care. I just don't want to have to go to the DMV. I hate that place and I was already dreading going to renew my license and that is still two years away. I just don't think it really creates all that much more security, so I definitely don't think this is something worthy of being compared with the mark of the beast or something.

Were you in the wheel well then?
No.
You may still fly on US domestic flights, provided that you go through additional identity and security screening at the TSA security checkpoint. So the bottom line is yes, you can fly domestically without a driver’s license, or other government-issued photo ID if either was lost or stolen

I didn’t know that. Do they pat you down too? What does additional identity screening entail?

That was a pretty bad one. The government used huge government spending and even moreso extremely expansive monetary policy called quantitative easing, which had never been done before, to combat the recession. Neither of those will help alleviate the next crisis.

What do you think is holding it back?
