Exactly. Maybe @justjess will be good enough to identify the parts of the transcript where Trump commits the highs crimes and misdemeanours the Democrats have been screeching about?

Except she’ll say that the transcript has been changed.

OK, let’s ask Zelensky, and the Ukrainian and US officials who actually heard the call. What’s that? They all say there was no pressure to investigate Biden? And that no quid pro quo was ever discussed?

The Democrats and the media have been promising an impeachment of Trump literally since the day he took office. They just assumed — because they believe everything they tell themselves — that Trump is so corrupt and stupid that it would only be a matter of time before they had the goods on him.

Now what do they do?
In Jess’ defense, it was irregular what he did. I could understand her position on this. But even in a normal political world I don’t think impeachment is warranted.

The impeachment initially hinged on Trump’s phone call with Zelensky. Please quote the part of that phone call where Trump commits a crime worthy of impeachment.

If you’re just recycling lefty talking points, you’re not going to make any headway here. Give us the goods, please.

I agree. Irregular, but not warranting impeachment. By these standards, we can expect every president from here on to be impeached whenever the other party has a majority in the house. It’s ridiculous.

And now that Trump has been impeached, Pelosi says they’re thinking of withholding the articles from the Senate until the rules of impeachment can be changed to be more favourable to the Democrats.

If there is anyone who still thinks this isn’t a complete joke, please explain why not.

The phone call was the catalyst behind a whistle blower complaint, which launched an investigation into the ENTIRE situation. The timeline of which was posted above.

Again, I’ll ask - are any of you acquainted with any criminals? Or even just the investigative process that applies to most of the free world? Even something as simple as a traffic stop?

Ex: pulled over for broken taillight (catalyst) cop comes to car and sees or smells something in plain sight (whistle blower) searches car due to probable cause (investigation) finds pound of heroin and you go to jail (impeachment). This isn’t a foreign idea.. despite my imperfect, oversimplified example.

I don’t intend or desire to make any headway here, your minds have been made up since he stepped on the debate stage insulting lefties and touched your hearts in places you didn’t know could be touched.

I am on a four week break from school and snowed in from work though so figured I’d comment cuz why the hell not. If all you want is an echo chamber.. sorry to disturb. But no ones succeeded in getting me to comply with that desire yet so don’t be disappointed when I don’t comply for you either.

I highly doubt that. Though the political atmosphere has become increasingly and contentiously partisan in recent years, starting with the filibusters McConnell pulled under Obama (and the refusal to vote on the new justice etc). Impeachment’s started with Clinton - should we have made the same argument then?

We have processes by which to hold the president accountable. Should we just not use them when warranted because of optics?

Except the whistleblower never heard the phone call, and the transcript shows nothing impeachable occurred. There is no heroin in the car, and the search was proven to be a setup. The case would never go to trial.

What the Democrats are essentially saying now is, “We haven’t found anything after three years of searching Trump’s car, but if you give us even more time, money, and power of subpoena, as well as change the way trials normally work, we’re pretty sure we can find something to pin on him.“ That’s not how the system is supposed to work.

The fact that three Democrats have not gone along with impeachment, and zero Republicans have, speaks more to how much the Democrats have collectively invested in this sham, than any partisanship on the GOP side.

The only message from the Democrats since they lost the 2016 election is that Trump is unfit for office and must be removed. That is literally ALL they’ve talked about or done for the last three years. They had to vote to impeach or they would look like hypocrites. Even so, one Democratic congressman switched sides, and two, including Tulsi Gabbard, sat out the vote.

On the other hand, have you forgotten how many Never Trumpers there are on the Republican side? Don’t you think that, if Trump had done something genuinely impeachable, the members of his own party who have spoken out against him in the past would have voted against him, now that they had the chance? The truth is, no GOP congressmen support impeachment because it’s a clear farce.

Speaking of Never Trumpers, I’ve watched as many of them, over the past three years, have steadily moved onto Trump’s side, not only because of the good things he’s done for America, but also because of the relentless and increasingly insane attacks on him from the Democratic/Media Complex.

There’s a new political reality blooming. The Democratic Party is going to collapse if they can’t pull it together, because the rot is really starting to show. They, and the Republicans, have done well in presenting slightly different versions of each other to the electorate every four years, ensuring that the power and the process stays essentially the same. But a broad dissatisfaction has built up among voters on both sides against the status quo. The Republicans were very lucky that their candidate for 2016 had a message that responded with those centrists and conservatives who wanted a change. “Drain The Swamp!” “Make America Great Again!” Trump’s message was so effective that he even pulled over some Bernie voters after Sanders was pushed out by the Clinton Machine. People want change.

I know I’m probably rambling, so I’ll wrap up with this. If Sanders has been afforded his proper chance by the Democratic Party and won the nomination, there is no doubt in my mind that he would be President Sanders today, and America would look, good or bad, very different.

But the Democratic Party and the media rigged the primaries against him, and they set in motion the circumstances that led to the Trump presidency, didn’t they?

And now the same Democratic/Media Complex that thwarted Democratic voters in the 2016 primaries is pursuing an effort to undo the 2016 election, and remove Trump from office, and amazingly, progressive people like you are totally cool with it, and still support them.

Now what? Trump rides the victim card onto a second term and for all Christian Zionists life is cushty.

You yanks just need to learn to love Israel a bit more though. You can actually hear your Zionist puppet president actually say the words (11 mins 15 secs)

Everything Know More News says I've been saying for years. Doesn't change a thing about the role Trump plays in unmasking the deep state and fake news. You want the perfect candidate? News flash, he doesn't exist. You'll have to take what you can get and go from there.

Trump is the 3rd president In US history to be impeached. How do you all feel about this? Be honest. I personally feel like other presidents have done worse and he didn't deserve this. I am not even registered as left / dem.
It's amusing but it was inevitable.

What now?

Nothing of any real consequence, the left will be insufferable chest beaters for about a week until it dawns on them that they just handed Trump his reelection. If this makes it to the Senate - it may not btw, because Pelosi is screwing around trying to get conditions, the Senate will not vote to impeach. Trump will go on, and every five days or so the left will find a reason to lose their shit over something he said or tweeted. Works for me, and I look forward to the left losing their minds forever when Trump is reelected in a landslide
