Thank you for the share, Toulouse. The conversation was very on point and I much appreciated it.

It also brought to my attention 1999's Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification, something I wasn't aware of but which I'm definitely going to look into.
You're very welcome. I've been researching the NWO since about 1997. I posted the video with Tony Palmer not only because he was working for Christian unity, but I believe, as do others, that his death is suspicious. He died in a freak motorcycle accident (can you say Princess Diana - may her soul be resting in peace) shortly after a meeting with Pope Francis and leaders in the Charismatic Renewal. This is the stuff of this website. The prince of Darkness does not want unification - divide and conquer is ages old and it works.
Agreed. I will look into also. Blessings.

...also, I think the talk of Christian unification is scary to many believers who think that they will have to give up what they believe, or compromise their beliefs. I understand, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Church, the Body of Christ, is like a broken pane of glass with Jesus as the Frame. Unification is about putting the pieces of broken glass back together to make the window whole again. It will be a cracked pane of glass, but it will be together. The cracks will not disappear, and there may be some tape holding it together until Our Lord returns - He will return for one church, one bride. We are holding up His return with our bickering and turf-protecting...our Pride.

That’s wrong, we aren’t holding up God. It’s not time yet for Jesus return.

Standing with catholics would be a compromise and a lie. I wouldn’t give credence to the catholics by unifying with them. It’s not because of pride but because the catholic church is a false gospel with false teachings. Once you merge with false teachers, you more than likely will pick up their false ways and fall away. We don’t have anything in common with darkness.

Lisa, the gospel that you give authority to (ie. the Bible) was assembled and legitimised by the Catholics whom you distrust. The scriptures that did not make the final edition of the Bible were left out by ... the Catholic Church. This all happened within a short span of about 20 years, from Christianity becoming Rome's official state religion in 380 AD, over the Synod of Hippo and the Council of Carthage to the definitive Latin Bible, the Vulgate in 400 AD. If your entire salvation relies upon adherence to the biblical letter, your salvation relies upon the historical Catholic Church. There is no escaping this.

Okay, Lisa, may I ask why is the Catholic Church a false gospel when it (the RCC) produced the first Bible?

...also, I never said it was time for Jesus' return, I just said we're holding it up by our lack of unity...and, again, that Bible you read is based on a Catholic Bible, or have you never read a "Catholic Bible?" Are you merely parroting what you've heard? Or are you an agitator who likes to spread discord?

Don't you guys believe in work base salvation Gospel? And everyone go to Heaven?

Also, can you tell me where in the Bible does it say to do this?

It’s a false gospel because of its unbiblical traditions.

We aren’t holding up Jesus return because of lack of unity. Jesus doesn’t need our unity to return...that’s false.

I have my own thoughts thanks...and if I do parrot anything it’s what I’ve read in the Bible.

I’m not an agitator but I do believe in contending earnestly for the faith and that’s what I’m gonna do.

Be nice. I am Catholic. :)
Hi again Toulouse,
Thank you for your reply and the kind admonition to be nice, and please accept my sincere apologies, if my earlier response to @JoChris may have come across as offensive to you personally. You sure seem to be (nice) and my admittedly rather rash and reactionary comment was based largely on the experience that was felt through having previous interactions here, and I then allowed that sentiment to cause a very broad and general bias in my response. So far, having read your responses in this thread have been enjoyed and I sincerely hope that the earlier comment made won't deter you from investigating the King of kings' Bible further. http://JAHTruth.net/kofk-free

Just went there. Interesting stuff. Who is Jah? Sounds like a Rastafarian name.
Agreed, it sure is interesting indeed. Personally, it would be added that JAH's work is also highly significant to the present times we are living in, and this in the highest possible terms. JAH has done a lot of work in this area as well as having written a Book called "The Way home or face The Fire" which deals much with, among many other interesting topics, the topic and theme of seeking common ground between believers of whatever background and the dire NEED for this to happen now, and in which your question (about who JAH is) and much more is explained in detail. In case you would have any interest in reading this, it may be downloaded as a free PDF e-book at the following link: http://thewayhomeorfacethefire.net

Again, your response has been appreciated and my sincere apologies for any offense that the reactionary comment that was made earlier might have caused. Hope you have a good day & Peace be upon you and within you!

Thank you for your apology. I understand that when we deal with matters close to the heart it's difficult to not get caught up in our emotions. Actually, I read it as sort of a fun jab. I will look into JAH's writings. Peace upon you as well. Thank you.

Welcome, Toulouse.

I have to admit-- I'm not familiar with this thought (doctrine?)...

We are holding up His return with our bickering and turf-protecting...our Pride.
... we're holding it up by our lack of unity..
On what are you basing this?

The thing is that there many doctrines that the Vatican added over the centuries which now distract/ distort/ contradict the bible.

E.g. 2020 Justification has been merited for us by the Passion of Christ. It is granted us through Baptism. It conforms us to the righteousness of God, who justifies us. It has for its goal the glory of God and of Christ, and the gift of eternal life. It is the most excellent work of God's mercy.

2025 We can have merit in God's sight only because of God's free plan to associate man with the work of his grace. Merit is to be ascribed in the first place to the grace of God, and secondly to man's collaboration. Man's merit is due to God.

-----
CANON IX.-If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema.

See Justification Canons for full list of how Catholic Church believes Faith PLUS Works = salvation

By that alone, Jesus Himself would be declared Anathema.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. ....
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. ...

Faith in Jesus alone = salvation.

Roman Catholic church says Faith AND good works = salvation.

Who should a Christian believe - Roman Catholic Church or Jesus?

Why are people pretending the RCC gave us the Bible?

The RCC kept the Bible under lock and key for over 1200 years during the dark ages, until the Reformation, when the printing press freed the Bible from their evil clutches.

Has no one read of Luther and Gutenberg?

Or of the Latin Vulgate assembled in Antioch, Syria rather than in Alexandria, Egypt?
