Thank you Frank, the war for our mind has been on. We have to fight to preserve it, the evil ones want to rob us of health, sanity and integrity. IF a person develops a mental illness, chemical imbalance, a degenerative disease/illness, what becomes of that poor person's life? It starts with what we put in our bodies.

I agree.

The quest to "cull the herd" is a multipronged approach.

Damn, that cuts into protein supplementation. No more whey protein. Not sure I really liked it anyway. :)

Protein supplementation with real actual protein is probably best anyway.

The reason I posted this article was because I bought whey protein powder and instantly started having problems with my vision. I get vision problems with MSG and Aspartame. I had no idea what caused the problem but knew the whey powder was the only food I changed in my diet recently. I read the ingredients and found nothing unusual. I looked up other names for MSG and came across this article and was amazed to find whey powder isolate was another name for MSG. I stopped ingesting the stuff that very second and a couple days later my eye sight returned to normal. Unbelievable!

Luckily I was able to return the product for a full refund.

Wow! I'm so glad your eyesight is normal. That's a scary thing and I once had an incident like that with vertigo medication, which is why I won't take vertigo medication even when I have mild vertigo.

I'm cutting out or reducing the whey protein since I may be lactose intolerant or slightly allergic. I love cheese, but I've had problems with that lately and it's probably dairy as a whole.

...I wonder how many of what we call "autoimmune diseases/disorders" may actually be manifestations of years/decades of ingesting artificial 'flavor-enhancers' and 'harmless food coloring', etc from the processed foods we see advertised on TV....?
...and even more sad... those same patients turn to our modern-day pharmaceutical industry, seeking relief, or a cure....

....or so they want us to believe...

...since 'eyes opened'... questioning and doubting everything that I've been told by 'experts' and 'medical professionals'....
...no proof.... no claims... I just no longer believe what 'our betters' tell us is true...... and is always the case....
...what's weird? ....I worked for decades in.... the pharmaceutical industry....
....doesn't make me an 'expert', by any means, but, even at my low level/pay-grade, I saw how things get suppressed and withheld from the public and medical providers.... due to 'handshake agreements' between FDA and PhRMA

"The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PhRMA) was founded in 1958. ... Headquartered in Washington, D.C., PhRMA represents the country's leading pharmaceutical research and biotechnology companies, which are devoted to inventing medicines that allow patients to live longer, healthier and more productive lives."
FDA Mission Statement
...and...
"FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation's food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation."

....one last thought.... what foods/drinks/drugs/air/electromagnetic fields, etc. did the parents ingest/experience prior to the birth of a child which is later diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder?
...at what point did the DNA 'unravel' in such a way that this untoward outcome happens?
...from birth? what happened prior with the parents? ...or the grandparents?.... or their forebears?....
...not claiming to have any answers.... but on this forum, particularly, where we question EVERYTHING.... can we take it on face value that autoimmune is just simply a 'Random-Will of God' proposition?

Thank you for sharing, ok my list of foods to avoid has grown even longer.
Wow that's sneaky. You'd think that whey powder isolate would be a whey byproduct or have something to do with whey but it's startling that it's something far more insidious. I happen to buy whey from time to time and now I won't be buying it anymore. I have seen whey protein isolate as the ingredient but I haven't given it much thought although I do what I can to stay away from MSG and aspartame of course of and hydrogenated oils. Isolate sounds questionable now that I think about it, what is an isolate???

I do feel VERY unwell after consuming something with hydrogenated stuff so I know what you're saying. I'm so glad you caught the nasty poison that made you unwell.
It's insane how many foods are poisoned with these chemicals. Most packaged stuff is garbage anyway. Nature's food is best is my thought.

Yeah, GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) classification by the FDA is a joke and includes things Europe would never put in food. There's been documentaries on it.

...when aspartame first became available as a sweetener on the consumer market, I one night downed two full 2 liter bottles of Hawaiian Punch (childhood favorite), thinking that it was 'better than sugar'.... and it won't make me fat(er)...
...the next morning, I had the most debilitating headache I've ever experienced...could not raise my head off the pillow... had my wife call me in as sick for the day.....
...one and done with aspartame... even chewing gum... won't touch it, if it has aspartame....
...may be 'Urban Legend', or maybe not.... but I read a long time ago that the lead Monsanto researcher who developed aspartame will not allow it in his house.... kinda like the story about Bill Gates doesn't let his kids spend all day staring at screens....
...likely/possibly 'Urban Legends'... but very believable, in the sense that the 'guys at the top' know what harm ensues from the very stuff that they create...
...didn't even ever suspect the MSG thing might be a problem.... gotta start reading labels more closely...

MSG has one "good" use. I haven't done this in many, many years as I've found better alternatives. Mix MSG with water to make a paste and apply to bug bites. I figure MSG can still be absorbed through the skin, so user beware.

That's one interesting remedy, why did you buy the powder anyway? Just curious. I remember when I first learned about MSG and the truth was sort of coming out, some chinese restaurants would put on their menus "No MSG added" I need to remember to ask them when I go out for some orange chicken.

It was in the house. It was before "we" knew about the dangers. In hindsight I guess a salt paste would have worked. More recently I've learned that crushed basil leaf (fresh, don't know about dried) works very well on mosquito bites. TBH, I'm surprised that MSG is still available and people still buy it.

I hate how poisonous stuff is pushed out to the public and the "truth" doesn't come out until decades later. Once it has inflicted much damage of course. Oh but they "didn't know". I am sort of surprised that not more people are talking about it. Most people are still ignorant. They think "caring" humans are making the stuff so it has to be ok.

I thought this was amusing yet sad.
