Yes, let's ignore everything Israel does on daily basis just because they appointed a female judge. This solved all our issues as Palestinians. /s
As long as you promote the myth that Israel is only interested in crushing Palestinians under their boot and the poor, beleaguered Palestinians just want a peaceful resolution to the grave, grave injustices perpetrated on them, nothing will be accomplished. It's time to be realistic.
They did appoint a female judge, however, this will not and should not hide the fact that Israel also discriminates against Arab Israelis (I actually prefer calling them Palestinians of 1948 but whatever) in every way.
Then why do Palestinian kids in Israel have their own schools, taught in Arabic, with their own curriculum? Why is Arabic an official language of Israel? Why do Palestinians sit as judges -- not just in civil and legal courts -- but in Israel's supreme court? Why has a Palestinian served as an ambassador from Israel? Why do Palestinians serve in the police, the IDF and in cabinet? How can you and others go on and on and on about how poorly Israel treats Palestinians when the evidence is the exact opposite? How is it possible that any of these things could have taken place in a country that you say treats Palestinians as second class citizens?
They are treated as second class citizens and are constantly harassed and constantly stopped at checkpoints. Just go to any Arab Israeli village and you will see what I mean.
Yes, there are checkpoints. Do you know why? It's because Palestinians keep killing Israelis. What do you want Israelis to do? Just give up and die? Be honest.
Edit: Also, please refer back to AspiringSoul's post regarding the demographics. If there were 20% Jews living in any Arab country then they would have every right to their own judges and courts but this is not the case. Historically, Jews never had any issue living here in the Middle East, it is only after the establishment of Israel that all this is happening.
There is not a single Arab country where the population is 20 percent Jewish. There used to be, but not any more. Do you wonder why
that is?
The point of the thread is to make people think about the way Israel treats Arabs as opposed to the way Arab countries treat Jews. There would never be a Jewish orthodox court in an Arab country. There would never be a Jewish member of an Arab parliament. This would never happen in an Arab country. That is the point.
But, checkpoints.
