I find it odd that many people supported Mr.Trump believing he would oppose the military industrial complex and the neo-cons. I never bought this and thought that his "opposition" to these sorts of polices was over the top and theatrical, a show in other words.

I certainly never thought Trump would oppose anything with concern to the military. In fact, he ran on the pemise he would beef up spending while negotiating better deals. There may be threatrics, but then again, can you not say the same about Hillary...I mean oit is all theatrics to get elected. People voted for Trump that are patriots and who wanted to see less change forced om a traditional way of life. There was a time when the left in the US was all for free speech and open debate, but not so much now. What I think this will all lead to is a third hybrid party in the coming years if we can survive the current silent civil war being waged in the states. Of course, we could just blame Russia and start a world war. At least Trump is not trying to do that.

He ran as a quasi-non interventionist, but has already escalated US involvement in Syria, and is considering many more troops going back to Afghanistan.

It's only a matter of time before Iran is in the cross hairs, that is the grand prize in the Middle East, and Trump will give it to them.

That would have happened regardless. Trump has always said he'd go after Isis and the Middle East will always be a powder keg. Why don't we just wait and see instead of speculate. Getting caught up in every move made will drive one insane, just like the theater that is so called news. And by the way, if the left has its way, this forum will be shut down and we will not be able to talk or debate any of this nor learn from one another. I was a registered democrat all my life who is now and will forever be and independent because I no longer recognize the party. There will be wars, which suck, because that is the way it has always been since the first cavemen threw a rock. Even if Gloabalist or a one world government somes to fruition, there will be violence. In a sense, they are behind it now and will try and persuade us there can be order out of chaos when it is in fact slavery.

What is there to wait and see? This is the most blatantly anti-freedom administration ever, so much so that it almost seems like an act.

What's also really scary is that a theocrat is just a heart beat away from the Presidency.

Trump might actually be a non-interventionist. Or an isolationist. But the problem is the Republicans in his ear are not. They are definitely going to want to push conflicts across the Globe. Military contractors still have to eat.

It bothers me more when they start conflicts here in America. Trump and Republican social policies are terrible, they are like the definition of overcompensation. I mean crusades against the gays, womens rights, and muslims? If these are the things that worry you on a daily basis, you need some Jung in your life. You need the best psychologist that ever lived.
