Besides it's not biblical but just an assumption to suppose that a third temple must be built before the great tribulation.
Nope!
Revelation 11:1-2
Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.
That verse on the surface seems to suggest that a third temple will be built before the great tribulation... but is this a correct interpretation ? The temple of God since Jesus Christ has not been a building but the body of believers. Also this verse seems to suggest that the Gentiles will be in control of the Old City of Jerusalem just before Jesus returns. So are the Jews going to loose or relinquish control of the Old City ? Time will tell...Again the temple of God has not been a building since Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
