I chatted with Poppy for four minutes.
Nope. You're not too deep. You're spot on.No it was not live, just a part of their marketing. Sadly, she is now in cahoots with people that work with Demi Lovato per sources close to the situation. They are totally grooming her slowly for a more concerted launch. This includes trying to erase her past music and create a persona. What started as a joke may now be serious in that it is working. I cannot tell you whether she is going all in illuminati or if it is a ploy at this point but there are signs that they are doing things in plain site which is what they do. Meaning, they want you to think it is a game when it is real. I was told to listen carefully to the lyrics in her new songs by someone who writes for a site. It actually tells her story of more or less leaving home and her searching for success only to supposedly find it now. As for the convo, it was real and it was two minutes but seemed like four. She will on occasion pick up or type responses on her site per source while at other times it is automated. Actually, most of the time unless they want their giggles. Trust me, it is all very well planned out and it might be a ride to see where this goes. I am not like totally into her music, but find the subject of someone breaking into the industry strangely interesting and I have a little bit of investigation experience in my past. Anyhow, the convo was odd, yet cool and nothing like what you saw on the vid and she remained in character. She knew where I was calling from and said she like that state and mentioned the state bird of all things. A photographer friend shot her for the IHEARTRADIO Awards show and he said she was in and out of character, dressed odd as he put it and cute. That is about all I can say on that. But let us face it, she has struggled to get her career off the ground and could be willingly accepeting what it takes now and her producer Sinclair would almost surely sell his soul for success. Now, I realize I have gone too deep on this one
The problem is, she's actually signed to a major label. But yeah, personally I like the project. I don't think there's anything actually insidious or sinister behind it. It's satire, critiquing a lot of the entertainment industry, using common conspiracy imagery since whether you actually believe in some satanic conspiracy where they can replace people with clones or just think that it's a fitting metaphor for the awful things that go on in the industry... I mean, there's being hidden in plain sight and then there's That Poppy.
Right. Groups like Public Enemy and New Model Army were, too. Still managed to do some things that were subversive to the system. The problem is, she's actually signed to a major label.
Lol.The end of Poppy? Charlotte just choked Poppy out!
I'm on it. I still check the stuff out, I've missed a few videos.Lol.
They clearly have too much time on their hands these people, thanks for sharing though!
Oh but Poppy sure likes when you get notified about her videos thoughI'm on it. I still check the stuff out, I've missed a few videos.
I find that my faves are the ones featuring Charlotte. For a mannequin, she's got a real troubled life.
