Way different than last nights debate.

Biden is crashing hard, Harris is dangerous as hell, Bill is surprisingly good ( apparently the heckling was directed towards him ) Bennet and Gillibrand entirely forgettable

Tulsi and Inslee get no time
biden is not able to hold his own - even after all of this "prep"

harris is on edge - she seems like principal trying to educate everyone .... annoying

as always - hillary opening - i dont want it but
and or T win...

Things I noticed -

Joe is average but the most electable with a good running mate. I think you have to consider they are pounding the favorite to get ahead. Dude is old tho.

Some need to drop and now for they have 0 chance.

I am glad you see in Harris what I do.

Cory has no chance.

Gillibrand is burnt toast.

Lastly, I see you and Aero crushing on Tulsi who is a running mate candidate,

I think we will see risers from last night and tonight make a move while some bigger names will consider getting out. Booker should drop IMO but I am centrist-right, so yall probably could care less. But at least I am watching...

I don’t think Biden is the most electable, the dude is a gaffe machine and his voting record is easily exploitable. There won’t be any enthusiasm for him. They tried the “safe” choice last time and it led to the current constitutional crisis in the WH.

Yeah, definitely crushing a little bit, she’s not going to win but would be a good SoS or SoD in a Sanders’ administration.

I think Sanders and Warren won tonight even though they weren’t on the stage. Biden and Harris tore each other apart and a few outsiders got a few dings on them both. Sanders got 70k new donations and raises 1.1 m yesterday alone..

A lot of these people won’t be there next month though.

I personally do not see Bernie having a chance but yall seem to disagree? Answer that question not on your personal feelings but if you think America would elect him over Trump. How would you guys rank the top 8 for president (dem) and running mate at this time?

Yes, I do. He polls very well in head to heads against Trump, specifically in MI, WI,PA. His economic populism counters Trump’s economic populist rhetoric and he’s the only one who can match the grass roots enthusiasm. He would have won last time and he still can, but it will be harder with Trump as the incumbent.

It’s a four way race between Sanders/Biden/Warren/Harris with O’rourke and Buttigieg on the outside, no one else has a realistic chance unless something changes once some start to drop out.

I think Biden/Harris would be possible or Sanders/Warren I could see Warren choosing Castro but maybe Sanders or DeBlasio...

biden got burned a lot
harris some ...
Well, a burn isn't really a "moment". It's a burn, and maybe I missed it. I didn't feel scorching flames. The debate seemed rigged to me. From the questions, the order in which they were asked, and even the candidates positioning on the stage.

Yang said one bit of truth, it’s a reality show.

Well, it was CNN Aero, LOL. I think Warren is neck and neck with Bernie personally and that makes me feel better, lol, for I will vote policies. I in no way see a Biden-Harris ticket in that they were oil and water tonight. I could see Biden-Gabbard. Heck, I think Trump would completely overheat Bernie and maybe get him to explode, that would be a toxic zone.

Lol, well she is much more competent than Palin. Tulsi is problematic in some areas but she did well with little time she had. She really got under Harris’ skin.

I see the opposite, Sanders would cause Trump to come completely unhinged, he might even goad him into taking a swing at him.

I only watched a very small amount... having to watch it on my phone just isn’t working out for me.

I did see everyone going after Biden and if I’m being honest I think it’s a bit soon to be going full throttle on that... they should be making cases for themselves more then against someone else. Idk. I’m just picturing the older centrists in my family - white upper middle used to be liberal then conservative but don’t like trump or changed their minds - and I know they are going to find it “distasteful” especially when they don’t know anything about these people to have an independent opinion about them first.

Harris did take some hits and seemed on the defensive a bunch which I didn’t like.. I think Biden got her back pretty good, tulsi got her better tho.

Did tulsi take the grey out of her hair?

I like deblasio. Not for president but I like him.

Inslee just seems like a sweet grandpa.

Castro and yang make sense on some things but they are meh.

Gillibrand is meh.

Booker is meh.

I don’t even know who the last guy was/is... so clearly no impression made.

I like Bill, hope he goes hard after Joe and Kamala

Bennet is boring

Inslee seems solid

Why the hell is Gillibrand blinking so much?

Tulsi, we get it you’re in the military

Castro, forgettable

Yang, his UBI is a Trojan horse to slash the safety net , he made a good case for it tho, seems like he has some fans

Heckling??? Could anyone here what they were saying?

Booker is booker, nothing new

Kamala is a cop

Biden seems more composed but you have to be more than just not Trump

More to come...
Fire pantalao- directed at deblasio about the cop that killed Eric garner. Then later about deportations directed at Biden

I’m surprised protestors were even able to get it tbh

My bad, if CNN being rigged was common knowledge. I don't watch a lot of any of the news networks. I do check the CNN home page from time to time and typically am left with a feeling of emptiness. CNN and every network real problem is they have so much air time to fill with talking. So that just creates serious problems for framing a proper narrative.

As far as the debate air time. It went to Biden. Big surprise, the candidate who doesn't need a "ratings" boost gets double the air time. I think I might be offended. And just to be clear, I'm not backing anyone for President. I just think people should have transparent choices and know the differences between candidates.

Biden is a phone it in kind of guy. So the very idea of being force-fed his shit should probably offend us all as Americans. If he became President at least we would know he would let everyone around him do everything.

The hilarious part for me was to watch CNN talking heads afterward who seemed to see dead people. I mean, they praised smiley Booker for doing great. They were torn on Biden. But what is becoming clear is that CNN and the party want certain candidates to advance. I love the fact that Tulsi has more balls than every man on the stage going after Google which cut her off from ad's because she was the most searched candidate earlier and Big Tech is trying to control this election. I think we will be hearing more about that shortly. All these people sticking up or Tech are about to wake up on both sides and realize the dangers of being force-fed certain views.

One more thing (added) - the left is now going after Tulsi on many fronts.

Yet again I will point out that just because I lean left on various topics does not by any means make me some Democratic Party shill. I disagree with the Democratic Party on a million things. I disagree with the mainstream Democratic Party on damn near everything except the few rare issues where they have been pushed to concede to the further left (student loan relief, universal health care, better wages).

The problem is his solution isn’t a solution if every expert says it will accomplish nothing. I’m still not entirely opposed to it if there’s some sort of compromise met. I am entirely opposed to a massive waste of funds while we are being beat in the head with the “there’s no money to give our citizens nice things” bullshit. I am entirely opposed to undertaking a project that requires a lot of capital with out an equivalent ROI while we are at the same time cutting taxes on corporations and the very wealthy. Because where is the money coming from to do it? It’s coming off the backs off the poor and vulnerable populations of this country and that’s not okay.

The democrats suck on this too. And their stubborn insistence on ignoring what soo many people of this country are screaming about is burying them. Whether or not they agree immigration is a problem they need to recognize that a large percent of the population believes it to be and that isn’t a belief you can reason away. So they should be proposing something and meeting people at least some of the way but they won’t. That’s a problem.

Consider me Varys here... my only and overarching concern in EVERYTHING is the good of the realm. How it will effect people. That’s it.
How can you say there would be no ROI on building the wall? According to the CBP and ICE agents on the ground, the sections of all that have been built or renewed are already making a positive impact. Once people are redirected to legal points of entry, it is easier to list them, track them, do background checks, direct those deserving asylum to the appropriate depts., and deport those who do not deserve entry, be it for previous criminal behavior in or outside of the US.

The Supreme Court just announced a decision that it is legal for the administration to use military funds for construction, something I would imagine we can all agree upon. Constitutionally speaking, protecting our sovereignty and borders is one of the most basic jobs with which the federal govt is charged, so it has been quite surprising, disheartening and frustrating that the Blue team has spent so much time and political energy to Not to do so, and then acting like they're doing us some big favor. It's disgusting.

As for tariffs, I think one has to look at a longer-term picture. Sure, they are uncomfortable in the immediate "Omigod I have to pay 50 cents more at Walmart!" sense. But realistically, govts. go back and forth on this stuff all the time, and have done so since history began. God forbid we have to import that flimsy fast fashion or those plastic do-dads from Indonesia or Guatemala instead of China, and those economically deprived countries benefit from our insatiable materialism. (Insert eye-roll here.)

But the negotiations have already begun. Not just with the Chinese, but countries from all over are lining up to make or renegotiate trade deals with us, from Mexico to Africa to India. There is so much going on behind the scenes, and certainly not showing up in the MSM, it's hard to even keep track! I think economists of the future will look back on this time period, from 2017 onward into the next 10 years and think "Gee, why didn't they do that sooner?"
