Bible, Deuteronomy 12:25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well (good health) with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do [that which is] right in the eyes of the "I AM".

A few apt Bible verses, about the swine. -

Leviticus 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is] unclean to you.

Proverbs 11:22 [As] a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, [so is] a pretty woman that is without discretion.

Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the "I AM".

Luke 8:32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
8:33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

2 Peter 1:4.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

I’m not sure if you know this, but this is favorite Bible verses,
Yes, of course I know it. It's in the title of the thread (the word "favorite" is in the title).
are these your favorite Bible verses?
They are the truth from The Lord, for the saving of souls, so yes they are certainly among them.
So since The Lord put them there to warn us, shouldn't they rightfully be among the favorites of any true bible believer? Or at least be accepted without any reservations? The truth is what sets people free. So, they should definitely be favorites.

I was just wondering, it seemed strange that they were your favorite ones.

Understood. I suppose having a favorite is difficult, since it's all good for instruction. They were found to be apt in light of the recent discussions, so I took the liberty of posting them. Perhaps not the first "favorite" verses that might come to most people's minds, like children who don't want to hear that they need to "clean their room" even though it is really for the best and for their future benefit.

I have found how it depends greatly on our own perspective. Maybe they should be listed also, among the other "favorites"?

2 Timothy
3:16 All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

"And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed ONLY God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by WORKS a man is justified, and NOT by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by WORKS, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD also." - James 2:23-26

Well I imagine if you already think pork is wrong to eat you would be searching somewhere to back it up then? I don’t know why you don’t just stick to the quran?

I read the Bible growing up and first, before I later read the Quran.

It's telling us not to eat it, because its not healthy for us. But, it seems many people just don't see it that way. I'll share with you a short personal testimony. Since completely cutting out pork products my health has improved greatly and now I hardly ever get sick (God Willing). So, that knowledge has been a true Blessing.

Deuteronomy 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it [is] unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

The Quran says in it to read the Bible, so it is giving people good advice.

It sounds like you should be posting in health and wellness instead...

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.
