I heard someone say they have Ai algorithms writing songs now, and I see no reason why that couldn't be so. The pop/hip hop/rap that you hear on those sorts of stations is so simple in structure that it would likely be easy. Hell, it might even be better "music" than the stuff by people. Some of the "songs" are just a beat and some bleeping sounds, lmao. I was wondering if others new anything about that.

Yes,this has been going on for a while.AI is being used to create novels, script writing for movies and dramas, for paintings etc besides songs. There are even softwares that analyse the content and tell how much of it will click with the public and how much and what and how it has to be changed to be a hit.All of this is a part of the fourth industrial revolution.
Can you name a specific movie, TV show, or album/song that was written by Ai?

@inquisitor the pop song was considerably better than the Christmas one. I would imagine if the input had been hip hop/rap then it would have been much easier to accomplish than the Beatles.

There is nothing simple about todays lyrical structure, todays lyricists are genuine geniuses... Just look at this masterpiece below.

Rihanna - "Where Have You Been"
I've been everywhere, man
Looking for someone
Someone who can please me
Love me all night long
I've been everywhere, man
Looking for you babe
Looking for you babe
Searching for you babe

Where have you been?
'Cause I never see you out
Are you hiding from me, yeah?
Somewhere in the crowd

Where have you been all my life, all my life, life, life, life?
Where have you been all my life?
Where have you been all my life?
Where have you been all my life?
