I used to be in favor of legalizing prostitution, as a way to keep those involved safe. I thought that keeping it underground only makes it more dangerous on them. However after looking into it, it appears as if its just legalized abuse.

So it seems that legalization doesn't protect anyone and furthers trafficking and in fact legitimizes it.
There is an agenda of glamorizing it as seen in movies like

and shows like

and

So as late capitalism continues and economic conditions further decline it does appear as if there is a push to glamorize prostitution and present this as viable economic alternative.
What is even worse than the glamorization of High-End escorting is the push to call prostitution by another name, this is known as "Sugaring".
Here is a vanity fair article promoting the practice

Here's a viral Instagram account from a woman who "mentors" young women on how to exploit themselves

The most sickening thing about this is it convinces women that this is empowering. Its even worse than regular prostitution because most people who do it already have the necessities of life, are in school etc, and are in no way doing this out of desperation. They do it to live lavishly and its a sign of societal decline that comes with capitalism's focus on materialism.
Here is an article countering it

So it seems to me there is an agenda here for sure. Instead of worrying about LGBT people fighting for their rights and viewing it as a sign of societal decay, maybe you should be more worried about your daughter exploiting herself, while calling it empowerment, to get a pair of Louboutins.
