This game basically has it all in terms of conspiracies. It came out in 2011.
You eventually discover a FEMA internment camp where people with biochips are rounded up.
Later on, you discover a conspiracy to use the biochips that are now common in humans to disable their physical augmentations and/or to transform them into puppets.
There is the whole transhumanist thing where people with amputated limbs wear robot prosthetics, and need to take a drug, called neuropozyne, so that the body does not reject the augmentations. The game has very advanced notions concerning physical augmentations since only recently in the news they said that people will need to take drugs to tolerate nanoaugmentations and microchip implants.

The main character that you play is special though as he tolerates the augs without the need for neuropozyne. In the previous games you learn that he was a cloned entity so that probably explains it.
China plays an important role also in the game and again the developers saw in advance that it would be a very influential country in real life as we are starting to see, with their progress in 5G and quantum computing.
Overall I am pretty sure that those who made this game were/are insiders since they seemed to know a little too much about the future.
