Barbara Lee would be better, but Sanders is as good as you’ll get from a politician. If Barbara doesn’t run he’ll get my primary vote. I’ll vote for whoever is against Trumpolini, but I’d have to hold my nose if it’s Biden/Harris/Booker/Kennedy/O’Rourke.

Edit: I don’t believe in Government and I don’t believe electoral politics is going to save us, but I do believe in Lesser Evil Voting as laid out by Professor Chomsky.

I don't see why it matters. Why entertain this government system that isn't even under our control? He's not going to effect any significant change assuming he could even win and if he did win is t be suspicious of who put him in power. Last I checked presidents were chosen beforehand and were of certain bloodlines rather than selected based on the mayor of their character.

No matter who is in office will not shake up the direction of this country.
The last real president who was for the people had his brains blown out in the backseat of a car.

It just seems like everything now is predetermined or at least rigged to push for an agenda.

@Maes17 and @Damien50 are right. Politicians are selected, not elected, as Dana Ashlie says. See Dana Ashlie's Americans Must Watch: We are Mystery Babylon on YouTube.

Sacrificed for the elite in the Masonic Dealey Plaza and no one has challenged the status quo again lol. I agree with you though and I don't think real change should be enacted by working in the very system that enslaves us. At the same time I can't imagine a system that would actually work with this generation being so far gone. The slaves are broken, distracted, conditioned, desensitized, and sickly.

I think we need more progressives in office for Bernie to be effective. But here's the thing about Bernie, a lot of people don't like him. People still blame him for Hillary losing. Plus I seem to hear a lot about the democrats hyping up Joe Biden.

My Aunt is a county chair for the Democrats, soo many women in her age bracket despise the man and blame him for Hillary losing. I think they’d vote for him against Trump, but they’ll do whatever they can to stop him in the primary.

I believe it.

What you describe is a serious problem though. Bernie is probably the best candidate the Democrats have. Which is kind of odd since he's one of the more polarizing figures in politics. It just seems like it will take a concentrated effort to actually win.

Concentrated effort seems to be the Democrats weakness though. I've noticed that the party, in general, is strikingly reluctant to "pass the torch" to the younger generation. And that seems counterproductive on multiple levels.

People are still scared of the word socialism, even when it’s not actually socialism. Look how they have been going after Alexandria ocasio Cortez. She isn’t even sworn in yet.

I firmly believe it is smarter to focus more on senators and representatives since they are more important then the president. And while I really like sanders I don’t think he should run again. He’s too old and despite his admirable character, too many people have hard feelings towards him so I don’t think he’d win at this point, if he won the primary last time I think he had a really good chance against trump. But time is fickle.

The party leadership will do whatever is possible to keep it aligned with corporate interest. I’m not talking about people like my Aunt necessarily they just kind of live in an information bubble and they wanted a woman president so bad that when it didn’t happened they looked for people to blame. Even though more Sanders supporters voted for HRC than her supporters voted for Obama in 08.

I still think if Sanders gets the nod he can beat Trump, I think anyone could as long as we don’t have some tragic event or a war prior to the election.

I’d really like Barbara Lee to run, but if not Sanders is really the only option. The age thing is a concern though, but he still seems pretty spry and more coherent than Trump, who may be suffering from dementia or syphilis madness.

I have to and will look into Barbara Lee. Sanders gets my regular people nod cuz he went to the same high school as my husband and sister in laws and the high school my son would have attended if we stayed in nyc so besides his policy stuff I have a natural soft spot for him

Well yeah, established men are threatened by intelligent women.

I might start ranting here but I see that type of shit every day. I work at a private company where the CEO is actually a woman. And she's totally useless. And I'm not exaggerating here, the company I work for treats women like total shit. But then again, the company seems to treat anyone with a bit of intelligence like shit.

Most of these bucktoothed morons don't even know what socialism is. Or they will deny the fact that we literally live under hundreds of socialistic policies. What do you do in situations like that?

I think if somebody like Bernie won the presidency, it would be more of a symbolic victory. I think if that were the case activists and those who dont participate in the political process would be emboldened and start to take more action to fix our country's broken institutions.

It would be symbolic but the symbols wouldn't be for the common people. The political process is bull to begin with and trying to fix a purposely engineered system that creates false paradigms is asinine. If Bernie won I would question his allegiance and I don't think they would allow anyone they couldn't control or weren't related to to hold the office. I'm more for non participation, the plantation can't run with no one to work the fields, and unless honest and moral people somehow acquire all the media outlets, entertainment, etc I don't believe any real change could be elicited by a decrepit old man.

We are such a divided people in regards to morality, gender, religion or lack of and so on I don't see it working. Conspiracy website where most of acknowledge the false system yet still try place faith in the same system that has put us into slavery. I'm not with the theatrics or the lies and no one else should be.
