You're very right, my friend. You're also lucky to live there and be able to live out your believes. Sweden has chosen sides and is pretty much owned by the antichrist. And you're right, its hard on the soul to live here. People are very harshminded, non believers and its an overall very hard climate for the heart. I pray for the end every day but also know that we have to be patient. God is dragging the rapture out bc he is trying to save as many as possible. At least thats the answer I had.
Yes, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9) Good answer! :)

Repentance in the Greek is metanoia, indicating a change of mind, turning away from sin and to God. It's teshuvah in the Hebrew, which maybe has a little more depth as to the turning. From what I know of both languages (not a whole lot, still learning), the Hebrew to me seems more emphatic and emotionally resonates with me more, yet in Greek and in Hebrew, repentance is about the same and very deep.

Not really, but have picked up things from Bible studies and the like. Metanoia comes up a lot, as it should.

Ain't him. He would be like none before him, making great signs in the sky and be very beautiful. He doesnt fit.
There are two beasts rising in Revelation 13.

The first beast with ten horns and the second beast with two horns.

The little horn who will uproot three horns of the first beast is not the same as the second beast.

Know your beasts.

I have stopped waiting for the end of the world a while ago. I mean what is the point anyway? None of us can ever know when it's going to happen. Why not just try to live your life instead and hope for the best? Seems like certain people are just pissed at the world and want it to suffer in some kind of apocalyptic disaster. It's the whole "mote in your brother's eye vs the beam in your own eye" thing again.

Rampant evil is cyclical so I don't think we are living in such a special era. Other religions such as Hinduism call this the "Kali Yuga". And if you don't like people because they are evil, then just become an hermit...

I can understand where you're coming from but a key point about biblical end-times prophecy is Jesus' analogy of birth pangs. Birth pangs intensify in pain and frequency nearer the due date. Which I think is a key piece of information to indicate that everything mentioned will get worse. More wars, more sickness, more evil, more persecution. Yes, rampant evil is cyclic and even the bible tells us that there is nothing new under the sun. But to the extent it's been over the last few years even? It might just be me but it feels like things are condensing. No one can know when the second coming is but we can surely see signs indicating we are close -and we have been, for a while now. And while I've definitely seen "Christians" wishing the apocalypse on the world with much bitterness and anger, I think many people of any faith are just tired of the way the world is heading and want it to be over. I know I do.
The problem is that I don't really see everything as truly becoming worse in a constant fashion. For example, the death rate due to disease and poverty in third world countries have been dramatically reduced in the last 20 years. Also people are finding ways to use technology to help others with disabilities. Wars are less frequent than in the middle ages as well. It's just easier to focus on all the negative and ignore all the positive because we tend to be pessimistic, especially when things go wrong in our own personal lives.

To advocate on your side of this. I think our ability to know what is going on anywhere in the world, almost immediately, due to the internet and social media, has made us see all of the bad all of time. It is a constant dripping in our lives. Before the internet, you knew about world politics and world events when you sought them out. I still do feel things are worse but wonder how much that has to do with it as well.
Agreed. Plus social media is such a farce anyway. To me it was always a "highlight reel" people did to say "Look at me! I'm so much better than you!" I know not everyone sees it that way, but I just got sick of the fakeness and how fake I was becoming on it.

But yes, social media has influenced our lives and not for the better, in my opinion.

I took out the video from The IT Crowd "Friend Face" episode since it was more than a little crude. I do love The IT Crowd even though it has given into the "powers that be" or "Illuminati" agenda to put mentions of p***philia and cannibalism in shows (the one where Jen Barber dates Peter File and it sounds like P***phile and and the "Moss and the German" episode). It took me awhile to see that because I thought the show was so clever at the time.

Well we can always cherry pick various topics to compare and say what's worse or what's better....but that's like looking at the weather vs. climate. And to me, the climate is changing...that is to say...there's IS a change in the air, and it's not for good. Socially, things are worse than ever. Families have been destroyed. Men are becoming women and vice versa (if not for real, they're at least "trying" to). Vice is celebrated and virtue is mocked. Death is promoted - the killing of millions of innocent babies - every year. The murder of people under the guise of "euthanasia." Mental illness is rampant. People may live longer, but they live sicker, longer. Divorce is promoted. Suffering is deemed "useless." People of the Christian faith, in particular, are openly shamed.

I work in a high-tech field...in neurology. I won't say more than that. But I know for a fact that people, lay people, have been connected to machines and can actually control a machine just using their mind. No joke I've seen it. I also know that they've made progress in "connecting" two minds so that folks can in a very crude way, communicate thoughts. It's still very crude...but they're making rapid progress.

Technology develops exponentially. Part of the overwhelm we feel as humans, is our sheer inability to keep up with it - and the way in which its development pushes us to. Scientists care not whether something SHOULD be done - just that if it CAN be done. They do and WILL develop things they never should have. This, I feel, will somehow be tied to revelation...technology will play a factor - what humanity will unleash will be an abomination...that's my personal belief.

It occurred to me that if the Antichrist showed up at the UN one week and confirmed a seven year peace treaty in the Middle East, half the people on this forum wouldn't even flinch. So, just in case...

Look at the lovely top comment of that clip.L0L

miss kj 777 For 1 md. siden

I am waiting for JESUS CHRIST, not the antichrist!

On a serious note don't you think the Antichrist has already confirmed a covenant with the many in the United Nations ?

How do you know or why do you think that the Antichrist will show up at the UN and confirm a seven year peace treaty in the Middle East ?

Who is the Antichrist ? And must he confirm a seven year peace treaty in the Middle East to be considered the Antichrist ?

The bit about the UN was literary flare, the peace treaty references Daniel 9:27...

Then he shall confirm a [a]covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the [b]desolate.”
