Iam curious as to your definition of antisemitism. Lets just say that there’s a group of non-Jews(i.e Cynthia Mckinney) and a group of Jews (i.e Norman Finkelstein) and both groups hold the same views towards Israel and its policies at home and beyond its borders; those views bearing some scathing criticism. How is it then that those views quickly get Cynthia & Co. labeled as anti-Semites but you can’t say the same of Finkelstein & Co? Yeah, I get that they are called ‘self-hating jews’. Just help me understand, on what grounds do you get to label someone (both jew and non-jew) as anti-semitic?

For what its worth, the undercover reporter who filmed the UK segment was a British Jewish student, a story that made headlines albeit briefly, a year ago. Were his or her actions anti-semitic? What would you say if the student was a non-jew? Perhaps Arab/Muslim, would you bring up the ancient, 'family feud' as a reason for their actions? Just curious...

I thought that was an interesting observation. So, this whole 'campus crusade' has got to be happening elsewhere in the Western world. True, the US is the most important sphere to be influenced so the Lobby's activities have to be ongoing outside of that sphere, albeit not on the same scale.

I made the observation due to the entire G20 debacle that took place, when our then despotic, tyrannical and medically defined depressed Prime Minister insisted on holding the event in downtown Toronto, despite all the suggestions to hold it elsewhere. When the events of the protests were being reported and televised, one couldn't discern what was really going on... whether they were agent provocateurs or protesters causing havoc. I think when the story of the TTC driver who got arrested surfaced, people realized that regular people were being arrested for no apparent reason.

A bunch us got together for some event and were discussing the G20 arrests and tactics and someone made the comment that some of the horrible things that were transpiring in the make shift jails were done by American police, as many were recruited for the event. My Jewish friend shrugged somewhat and said in a defeatist tone, “What difference does it make? The police forces are being trained by the IDF, anyway”. I was surprised to hear them say that because I read the very same thing. Therefore, when I see videos of how the IDF treats the Palestinians, some of it isn't much different from some of the footage of the G20. If and when the stock market falls, I don’t think livelihoods will be too much different than what the Palestinians are enduring now.

I read the article...yeah, sigh. It appears the Israel and “end times” scenario is a baby-boomers thing as seen in this video here. Personally, the people in it are reminiscent of the Marshall Applewhite and Charles Manson followers. That said, as Mark sings in the song Sleepwalkers, “We only see the things we want to see”. As well, as the saying goes "education leaves you, but knowledge stays", which may explain what's happening with the younger generation.

I'm speaking of McKinney, specifically-- a hypothetical scenario wouldn't apply here. She and her family (father, State Rep., Billy McKinney, really) have a history of anti-Jewish public statements (her racism/ bigotry isnt aimed at Jews, only).

State Rep. Billy McKinney said his daughter's tough fight was because "Jews have bought everybody. Jews. J-e-w-s."

They have the tapes between the pilots and the air controllers. The Israelis had already done several recon flights of the ship as witnessed by the crew, and what those flights were doing was figuring out how to strike it to take out the communications first. They knew it was American (it was flying a yuuuuge American flag) but the orders were to 'hit it anyway' and so they did. They intended to kill everyone and sink the boat, even shooting up the life boats (and keeping one as a souveneir) and get Egypt blamed for it. It worked and Johnson sent NUCLEAR strike craft to hit Cairo before the facts became apparent and the flight was recalled. Cairo came this close to getting nuked over this PLANNED deception. Johnson actually ordered jets sent to assist be turned back, but one admiral defied him and sent jets or it would have been sunk. This is after gunning, rocketing, torpedoing and napalming the ship which had one .50 cal deck gun for protection. These accounts are readily available and you can go read all about this event if you would like. It was a day of undeserved horror for the men on this ship and a travesty of justice. The fact that Johnson "didn't want to embarrass an ally" translates to: I'm gonna need those campaign funds.

And why did they plan it? Because they didn't want the USA listening in on the fact that they couldn't hold Egyptian prisoners so they were executing them AND Moshe Dayan (an opportunist if ever there was one) didn't want the USA listening in and finding out that he was going into Syria with his tanks to grab the Golan even though it had already been agreed to that Syria would basically still feign resistance while quietly rolling over to end the conflict. Double crossed. So it was all about the USA not being able to find out about the plans for their big Arab land grab that's been admitted to by all the top Israeli leadership of the time. To try to repay us for this, they flew across the Red Sea and snatched a SAM-2 missile launcher and gave it to us to examine since we were getting shot at by these launchers during the Vietnam War. Narcissistic "allies" if ever there was and the fact that there was no response to the Liberty event emboldened them so you have what we have today: subservience.

Two notes: the crew of The Liberty had to literally shovel up their crewmates who had been blown to bits by israeli rockets (they even napalmed the ship) and when they captured Jerusalem, Moshe Dayan expressed his displeasure with that move by asking, "What do we need with this giant Vatican complex anyway?" You know, like secular atheists are wont to ask...
