My prophecy is this:

- Whatever happens in this world, everything will be allright with your soul, because you're part of God.

- Whatever happens in this world, good will win over evil, God will win over satan.

In 1798, the first beast, the Papacy, was taken into captivity. This is the time in which John saw the other beast arising. It arises not out of the sea (the multitude of nations) but out of the earth, in an area that was previously not inhabited by great nations, multitudes, peoples, and tongues.
But how can the first beast be the Papacy when the whole world wonder when they see it and ask who can wage war with the beast ?

The first beast is not only a military power but invincible... until of course the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

The Second beast is the USA. It plays a significant role in end time prophecy as its the last super power. It is noteworthy that this beast (second beast) lacks any crowns. The United States of America is a grand experiment in government that serves its people rather than enslaving them, and in religion that allows freedom of conscience and expression. It is a country that has government without a king and religion without a pope.
The second beast is just playing second fiddle to the first beast whose deadly wound was healed... what wound ? It deceives with signs and wonders the world to worship the first beast and make an image to the first beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

I would suggest you read up on the Roman Catholic church and its history especially the Jesuit order. The Present Pope is a Jesuit too. Remember that when Revelation talks about the papacy, it starts from its origin within the Roman empire through the dark agres, to the Protestant reformation till the end of this world. No other power fits the beast of Revelation 13 like a glove except the papacy. The papacy is more powerful than you can imagine and is getting more powerful all the time as we head to the end. Thank God their power will come to an end.

The second beast didn't start playing second fiddle to the first beast at its arising but then it changes and starts doing the bidding of the first beast whose wound was healed.

The Papacy's wound
Papal supremacy of the Middle Ages ended in the year 1798, exactly 1260 years after Justinian’s decree established the Papacy as the supreme Christian power in 538 AD. In 1798, Napoleon’s army took the Pope captive and put him into exile. The murder of a Frenchman in Rome in 1798 gave the French the excuse they wanted to occupy the Eternal City.

It was really believed that the era of papal power had come to an end forever. However, the prophecy says, “And his deadly wound was healed and all the world wondered after the beast” (Revelation 13:3).
Since the Papacy had apparently lost its political status after the Pope's capture in 1798, it was, for all intents and purposes, dead. It could only be resurrected if it regained its political status.

Healing of the Wound
In 1929, Prime Minister Benito Mussolini and Cardinal Pietro Gasparri signed an accord whereby the Pope had to pledge his own political party’s support to Mussolini in exchange for the return of his papal seat and power.

This monumental event was recorded in the San Francisco Chronicle with the heading "Mussolini and Gasparri sign Historic Roman Pact." Even at that point, people understood the significance of what had happened. From 1929 onward, the political status of the Vatican was thus reinstated and the wound could heal fully.

The Beast, or Papacy, claims to be the representative of Christ. It demands the world’s obedience and also experienced a counterfeit death and resurrection. At the end of time, the power of the resurrected Papacy will be so great that no one would venture to make war against it. The deadly wound will be healed.

Back to the second beast.

At its inception, the United States had the strength of its form of government, and of its people’s religion. Republicanism and Protestantism were the fundamental principles of the nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity. It is strong because the government and the church are separate, without one controlling the other.

It becomes a world power, strong enough to force the world, on pain of death, to worship the image of the beast, Revelation 13:12-17.

This beast will speak “as a dragon” and exercise “all the power of the first beast before him.” The “first beast,” as an agent of the dragon, used its “power” in state affairs to enforce religious laws, resulting in the persecution of the “heretics” who would not submit. For America to do this and “give life unto the image of the beast” it would have to abandon the principles of religious freedom, repudiate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and discard the fundamental beliefs that have made this great nation what it is. When America uses its power to enforce religious laws and persuades other governments to do the same, it creates an “image of the beast” and it gives life, reflecting the intolerance and persecutions of the medieval Papal Church.

I'm well aware of the black Jesuits. And i'm confident the papacy is antichristian.

But i don't buy that the papacy is the first beast who looks like a leopard with the mouth of a lion and the feet of a bear which will trample the world with seven heads and ten horns. That is not the papacy.

And an angel already explained who this beast is... namely a succession of world powers vying for world domination. Five were fallen and one is and one is to come for a short time... and the beast that was and is not yet is (healed wound)... is the 8th but of the seven(th).

This has the Third reich written all over it.

The second beast sounds more like a religious institution and is looking like a lamb with two horns signifying perhaps the papacy and islam... or maybe Greek orthodox and islam. Someting Chrislam... islam probably has a part to play because the second beast is also called the false prophet.

And we both know a prophet who is false.

Look at the whole picture of the first beast. It is the papacy and no other power comes close to it.

The imagery of John’s vision in Revelation 13 builds on Daniel 7’s description of the little horn Antichrist power by showing us that Rome incorporates components of the lion, the bear, the leopard, and the terrible ten-horned beast:

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority (Revelation 13:2).

These are the four beasts from Daniel’s vision, and are symbols of the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome.
The Bible’s imagery is not random. The attributes of each of the four beasts are indeed contained in this one beast. The Church of Rome has incorporated many of history’s systems of worship and styles of governance into its own systems. The absolute power of the ruling monarch, the infallibility of his decrees, the total subservience of the Papacy’s officers, the hierarchy of its elite, and the many secret organizations that make Rome’s power absolute are all inherited from past empires.

Here is a portion of the oath taken by all cardinals of the Catholic Church:

Here is a portion of the oath taken by all cardinals of the Catholic Church:
I [name and surname], Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, promise and swear to be faithful henceforth and forever, while I live, to Christ and his Gospel, being constantly obedient to the Holy Roman Apostolic Church, to Blessed Peter in the person of the Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, and of his canonically elected Successors...

Rome also maintains many of the rites and vestments of the bear; the triple crown worn by the Pope, made of solid gold, is of Persian origin. The rites, and ceremonies dating from the Grecian and Babylonian periods form the basis for most of the liturgies, festivals, and grand ceremonies observed by the Roman Church.

The very people now venerated in the Roman Church are renamed versions of Greek gods. As historian Alexander Hislop says, "Popery was baptised Paganism...the Paganism which Rome has baptised is, in all its essential elements, the very Paganism which prevailed in the ancient literal Babylon".

Even the titles used by present-day Popes are the same as those used in early pagan religions and by the monarchs who were seen as representatives of the gods and even as gods themselves.

There is no third reich, just the papacy. It doesn't seem like it now but the papacy will fulfil prophecy and I hope you and I will be on the side of God.

Compare the first and second beasts. There is no religious aspect to the second beast at first until its starts to force worship of the first beast. Islam has no role in end time prophecy. Not the role that affects God's true church. Islam or the others you've mentioned do not have the power of the Unites States combined. They therefore cannot force the world to do anything. The United States will combine civil government and apostate Protestantism that will support the papacy. It will then influence all the nations of the world to follow her example; thus, the papacy will gain worldwide support.

But the lion and the bear and the leopard are not Babylon MedoPersia and Greece.

MedoPersia is in Daniel 8 the ram and Greece the goat.

The lion and the bear and the leopard are more than likely the British empire and the Russian empire and the German empire... which together make up the terrible fourth beast. Now the fourth beast looks like a leopard with the mouth of a lion and the feet of a bear. These three empires which lost their dominions all shared the same royal blood. Somehow they seem to come together in the last days... some sort of revived Roman empire where one of the wounded by war but now healed head is the revived Third reich i think.

Anyway we will just agree to disagree on this point. Time will tell...

You haven't been reading what I posted on Daniel 2,7.8 and 9. Like I told you as we go into the book of Daniel the symbols change but its the same prophecy of Daniel 2 with more detail.

Daniel 7: 15-28. The angel's explanation of the Lion, the bear and leopard and indescribable beast.

15 Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
.
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

Remember these are the Kingdoms that affect God's people who were the Jews first and true Christians second. In Daniel 2, the head of Gold is Babylon and is the Lion of Chapter 7. The bear corresponding to the chest and arms of silver from the image of Daniel 2, is Medo-Persia. The leopard is Greece corresponding with the belly and thighs of Daniel 2 and Rome the fourth “beast” is represented by a frightful monster corresponds with the legs of Iron in Daniel 2.

Daniel 8 expands on Daniel 2 and 7 but uses different symbols again. Read the commentary I posted on those chapters. They are not isolated from each other. Take your time because its a lot to take in. Btw Daniel and Revelation should be studied together. Revelation gives us more detail on the prophecies of Daniel. That is why we see the same symbols used in both books. So again, that is why The imagery of John’s vision in Revelation 13 builds on Daniel 7’s description of the little horn Antichrist power by showing us that Rome incorporates components of the lion, the bear, the leopard, and the terrible ten-horned beast.

Stop saying "likely" and let the Bible explain itself. How do the British, Russian and German empires affect God's people? By the time they were all in power the Jews were no longer God's chosen nation and they did not actively persecute Christians like the Catholic Church did when it had absolute power. Protestantism arose during absolute papal rule and many were killed during the period for choosing the authority of God over the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. That is why it says in Revelation 13:7, And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: The characteristics of the first beast parallel very closely the ones in Daniel 7:20-21, 25 and 8:10-12.

I have repeated myself so many times, so that is enough for now.

Sure the head of gold is Babylon and the chest of silver is MedoPersia and the hips of bronze is Greece and the legs of iron is Rome.

But i'm sure the lion is not Babylon and the bear is not MedoPersia and the leopard is not Greece. God is not an author of confusion and when He uses the ram for MedoPersia and the goat for Greece... you ought to be as sure as me that MedoPersia is the ram and not the bear and that Greece is the goat and not the leopard.

The lion and the bear and the leopard are for sure the British empire and the Russian empire and the German empire... and just as foretold these three empires lost their dominions but lived on... and they will make up the fourth terrible beast which will destroy much of the world.

Let me just stop pretending i'm not sure... I am absolutely positive that it is a I say. Always ! L0L

Its no coincidence Revelation 13 is using symbols from Daniel 7. There are no coincidences in the Bible.

Daniel 7 is Daniel 2 with more detail. Don't think the indescribable beast that has iron teeth is coincidence. It is not. Iron is synonymous with Rome in prophecy. They are not different kingdoms from Daniel 2 that the angel explains in Daniel 7. They will always be the same kingdoms that affected God's people until the papacy at the end times.

The British, Russian and German empires are not the three empires of Daniel 7. The kingdoms of Daniel 7 are thousands of years before any of those empires and none of them have the attributes that Daniel 7 gives to all three empires. For example the Kingdoms follow each other one after another but Britain, Russia and Germany don't. In fact some, if not all were in power at the same time at certain points. Neither did they rule over or persecute God's people. The first four kingdoms all ruled over the Jews and it was under Rome that Jesus was crucified. So by the time Jesus was on earth the fourth kingdom was already in power. Way way before the British, Russian and German empires.

Please let the Bible explain itself and if it uses similar symbols and language that is a tell tale sign that they are connected.

Comparing the Prophecies of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7

The four beasts of Daniel 7 parallel the metals in the image of Daniel 2

During the rule of the final power, Rome, the final confrontation between God’s people and the enemy’s army will occur. This will spark the battle of Armageddon.

The beasts of Daniel 7 and the metals of Daniel 2 follow each other sequentially. The Medo-Persians conquered Babylon, but the Babylonian system of worship was not destroyed, merely refined. Similarly, when Greece conquered Medo-Persia, the names of the gods changed but the system of worship remained essentially the same. The same deities were then worshiped in Rome under a different garb.

If this is true, then the final power to control world events will incorporate aspects of all the religious systems of history. These false teachings will be disguised to deceive even “the very elect." Even so, Daniel 2 shows the complete destruction of the entire statue when the stone strikes the feet. Christ is that stone, and He will prevail over all other powers, kingdoms, and religions.

They simply cannot be the British, Russian and of German empires.

This is the last thing I'm going to post on the subject. God bless.

Absolutely.

And when the Roman empire crumbled the Holy Roman empire continued and then the German empire and then the Third reich.

Iron from Rome to Berlin. They have been reviving the Roman empire three times.. and are foretold to revive it again a fourth and last time.

Will you wonder when you see the Third reich revived ? Will it surprise you when the Nazis rise from the DUMBs...?

The British, Russian and German empires and not the three empires of Daniel 7.
Absolutely.

And they all lost their empires just as foretold in the written words of God. And they all share the same royal blood and are trying to revive the Roman empire one fourth time... and they will succeed for 3.5 years before JC returns and go real medieval on them.

God Bless.

Given the observations above, what do you guys make of the symbolism in this rock band album cover?

View attachment 15470
The picture seems to be giving a mixed message as is so true with the music industry world wide sadly, but ultimately they pay homage to their god Satan. In the top left corner of the picture and right in the centre of either the group name (I think), is the sun. Many album covers have the sun on them. We know sun worship is satanism really.

The statue who seems to represent a religious figure (maybe the Pope) is in chains in tattered clothing holding a staff with a light surrounding it. The Pople always holds a staff with a cross on it though. The person kneeling down representing a fallen angel (perhaps) is looking at a crown before in a slumped position. The background is a city in ruins. The scriptures don't say the Pope will be in chains, just the Devil for a thousand years in a desolate world, Revelation 20. I'm not sure what message the album cover is trying to deliver but its all mixed up. What do you think?

Daniel 10 Commentary

1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

Commentary, 10:1-12 It has been 70 years since Daniel was taken captive. He is now 87 years old.
This is Daniel’s last vision. It is recorded in chapters 10-12. Chapter 10 is the introduction; it offers a fascinating look at the supernatural intervention that takes place behind the scenes of history.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
15 And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
17 For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
18 Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Commentary, 10:13-21
Who is “Michael?” His name means the one “who is like God.” Strong’s #4317.

In the Bible, Jesus is the one who is said to be like God. Philippians 2:6; John 1:1. He is called “your Prince” in this verse and in verse 13. Our true Prince is Jesus. Isaiah 9:3; Acts 3:15; 5:31.

“Michael” is called the Archangel in Jude 9 (Archangel means “chief” or leader of the angels). Jesus is not an angel. He is the Son of God. He never had a beginning and will never have an ending. Revelation 1:8. He is eternal. John 8:58. He participated with His Father in this world’s creation. John 1:1-3. He existed before the angels and created them. Hebrews 1:3-4. They are happy to follow His commands.

Daniel 11 Commentary

1 Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

Commentary, 11:1 The language of Daniel 11-12 is not symbolic in the same way that it is in chapters 2, 7 and 8. There are no images, beasts, or horns. Just the same, its language is cryptic, almost like a code. Each sentence condenses quantities of information, and many metaphors are employed.

These qualities have led to a variety of interpretations. There are, however, two very useful guidelines that all interpretations must follow to be acceptable:

1. This vision begins with a reference to King Cyrus and ends with God’s people delivered. So just like the other prophecies of Daniel, this one does not focus in on a narrow span of history but covers a long time span from the prophet’s day to the end of the world. This also means there should be some parallels that can be identified between this vision and the previous ones.

2. Within the text are several specific phrases that can be accurately pinned to certain historical events or time periods.

2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

Commentary, 11:2 The “fourth” king of Persia after Cyrus was Xerxes (Greek name for Ahasuerus), the husband of Queen Esther, who ruled at the height of Persian power and wealth. He raised a huge army with contingents from forty different nations and attacked Greece around 480 BC.

The Persian invasion was eventually repelled, but it roused a burning desire on the part of the independent city states of Greece to unite and average themselves on the Persians. There is much more detail on the rulers and activities of this kingdom than we have seen in previous visions.

3 And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

Commentary, 11:3-4 These two verses deal with Alexander’s conquests and the subsequent four divisions of his kingdom. This is the end of the obvious and easy sections of this prophecy.

5 And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
6 And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
7 But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
8 And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.
9 So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
10 But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.
11 And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
12 And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
13 For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.
15 So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

Commentary, 11:5-15 These verses deal with the intricate details of the rulers and activities of the divided kingdom of Greece. Ultimately two of these divisions came to dominate to such an extent that the Bible record accurately portrays them under the titles of “The King of the North,” and “The King of the South.”

The enemies of Israel, such as Babylon and Egypt, always attacked from the north and the south. Thus “The King of the North” and “The King of the South” came to symbolize the adversaries of God’s people. This entire vision depicts these enemies as warring powers whose battles adversely affect God’s people.

16 But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.
17 He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
18 After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.
19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.
20 Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

Commnetary, 11:16-20 This section applies to the Pagan Roman Empire; it is the “King of the North” that “none shall stand before.” In 63 BC the Roman General Pompey interceded in a Jewish civil war and declared Judea a Roman protectorate.

Verses 17-19 are generally applied to Julius Caesar, ending with his assassination. Caesar Augustus, who, at the time of Christ’s birth, decreed that “the entire world should be taxed” (Luke 2:1), is pointed out in verse 20.

21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

Commentary, 11:21-24 There are two different yet worthwhile views in the interpretation of the next two sections; both have good evidence to support them.

The first view is that this is still Pagan Rome with verse 22 being a reference to this power’s part in Christ’s death.

The second is that the prophecy here shifts over to Papal Rome, with verse 22 referring to the papacy setting itself up against Christ, corresponding to “magnified himself even to the prince of the host” in Daniel 8:11.

25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
26 Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
27 And both of these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.
29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

Commentary, 11:25-30 Under the first interpretation—that this is still Pagan Rome—this passage refers to the civil war between Octavian Augustus as “King of the North” in conflict with Mark Antony and Cleopatra in Egypt as “King of the South” in 31 BC.

Under the second interpretation this section refers to the crusades which Papal Rome as king of the north launched to reclaim the Holy Land from the Muslims, “the King of the South,” around AD 1095-1272.

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Commentary, 11:31-35 "The abomination that maketh desolate” refers here to the Church of Rome and points to the Reformation period and the persecution of “heretics” by the Roman Catholic Papacy.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

Commentary, 11:36-39 This description of the Papal church parallels closely the descriptions of the “little horn” in Daniel chapter 7 and the “little horn” in Daniel chapter 8.

40nd at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41e shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42e shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43ut he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44ut tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45nd he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Commentary, 11:40-45 These verses depict the events leading up to the destruction of the Papacy. Which is portrayed as “the king of the north.” The rise and fall of this same power, at the end of time, under the symbolism of Babylon the Great, is portrayed in Revelation 17:7-11.

What we know from the text is that “the King of the North” will face an adversary symbolized by “the King of the South,” and God’s faithful people are caught in the middle. This indicates that Catholicism will be attacked in some manner by “the King of the South” at “the time of the end.”

Some scholars believe that the “King of the South,” who opposes Catholicism at the time of the end, is atheism and/or its philosophical offspring, communism. They believe it could be atheism because, like Egypt in the Old Testament, it declares, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice?” They think it might be communism because of its power and atheistic views.

In verse 45 the Papacy is said to place “his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain.” In scripture “Holy Mountain” refers to both God’s true Church on Earth and to heaven itself, where Jesus carries on His high priestly ministry today. Ezekiel 28:12-15; Isaiah 65:25; Daniel 9:16; Zechariah 8:3; Joel 3:17. Thus, scholars see in these verses a picture of Satan, through the Papacy, putting itself between the “seas” (the people) and the “glorious holy mountain” (God’s true church and Christ’s sanctuary ministry in heaven).

Daniel 12 Commentary

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Commentary, 12:1 The vision finishes with events at the end of time: the close of probation, the time of trouble coinciding with the seven last plagues, the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of His everlasting kingdom. See Revelation 19-21.

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Commentary, 12:2-3 The words "shall awake" here speak of the resurrection of the dead. The righteous at the glorious Second Coming of Christ are raised to meet their Redeemer and receive life everlasting. The wicked dead will be raised later to receive their reward.
For information on other special resurrections in the Bible see Jude 9; Matthew 17:1-8; 26:64; 27:50-53.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Commenatary, 12:4-10 Instead of interpreting the vision for Daniel, the angel says, “seal the book” until “the time of the end.”
In the early 1800s, many honest and Godly Bible students around the world, independent of one another, began to unravel the correct meaning of the book of Daniel. See Revelation 10:8-11; 14:6-7.

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

Commentary. 12:11-13 The 1290 days begins with the “daily” is taken away and the “abomination that maketh desolate” set up. In this text the “abomination” that is set up in the Roman Papal system. The best explanation so far is that this time period starts in AD 508. At this time the question of supremacy between the Catholic and Arian branches of Christianity was settled in favour of Catholicism by the subjection of the Arian tribes by Clovis, king of the Franks.

Using the day for a year rule, this makes the 1290 days end in 1798 at the same time as the 1260 days/years. If we start the 1335 days at the same time it brings us to 1843, very near the end of the 2300 days/years of Daniel 8:14.

The only reason Jesus Christ is called the Son of God and the Son of Man is simply because He was born into our world where God was the Father and Mary the mother of His biological body.

Who was He before He was born into our world ?

Michael.

But but but isn't Michael an angel ? No but He looks like one and is the only Archangel in the Scriptures. He is the one of whom Yehovah said that His name is in Him in Exodus 23. And there He is in Joshua 5 with a drawn sword... the Commander of the Lord's angelic army.

Scholars for a long time poured scorn on the Book of Daniel, with all it's specific timings and clearly identified future empires, it simply must have been written far later than claimed (the alternative view being impossible for liberal scholars to contemplate).
During the time of Alexander the Great, The Jewish priest came out and met the Greek Warrior that He was prophesied in the Book of Daniel. I don't remember which History I studied that in, but I will check and let you know. Alexander bypassed Israel for that reason.

A good talk by Roger Price on Daniels 70 weeks.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT:
By: Isaac Broydé, Kaufmann Kohler, Israel Lévi
The celebrated conqueror of the East, 356-323 B.C. By introducing Hellenic culture into Syria and Egypt, he had probably more influence on the development of Judaism than any one individual not a Jew by race. Yet, curiously enough, there are no personal details which connect him with Jewish history, save that after the siege of Tyre, 332 B.C., he marched through Palestine unopposed, except in the case of Gaza, which was razed to the ground. He is mentioned by name only in the Apocryphal I Macc. (i. 1-8, vi. 2). It is supposed that the Book of Daniel alludes to Alexander when it refers to a mighty king that "shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion," whose kingdom shall be destroyed after his death (Dan. xi. 3). The vision of the "fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly," devouring and breaking all in pieces (ibid. vii. 7), may also be an allusion to Alexander.
The only historical event connecting Alexander the Great with the Jews is his visit to Jerusalem, which is recorded by Josephus in a somewhat fantastic manner. According to "Ant." xi. 8, §§ 4-6, Alexander went to Jerusalem after having taken Gaza. Jaddua, the high priest, had a warning from God received in a dream, in which he saw himself vested in a purple robe, with his miter—that had the golden plate on which the name of God was engraved—on his head. Accordingly he went to meet Alexander at Sapha ("View" [of the Temple]). Followed by the priests, all clothed in fine linen, and by a multitude of citizens, Jaddua awaited the coming of the king. When Alexander saw the high priest, he reverenced God (Lev. R. xiii., end), and saluted Jaddua; while the Jews with one voice greeted Alexander. When Parmenio, the general, gave expression to the army's surprise at Alexander's extraordinary act—that one who ought to be adored by all as king should adore the high priest of the Jews—Alexander replied: "I did not adore him, but the God who hath honored him with this high-priesthood; for I saw this very person in a dream, in this very habit, when I was at Dios in Macedonia, who, when I was considering with myself how I might obtain dominion of Asia, exhorted me to make no delay, but boldly to pass over the sea, promising that he would conduct my army, and would give me the dominion over the Persians." Alexander then gave the high priest his right hand, and went into the Temple and "offered sacrifice to God according to the high priest's direction," treating the whole priesthood magnificently. "And when the Book of Daniel was shown him [see Dan. vii. 6, viii. 5-8, 20-22, xi. 3-4], wherein Daniel declared that one of the Greeks [
] should destroy the empire of the Persians, he supposed that he was the person intended, and rejoiced thereat. The following day Alexander asked the people what favors he should grant them; and, at the high priest's request, he accorded them the right to livein full enjoyment of the laws of their forefathers.
