I just remembered...they were in my dream last night where I met them at the airport through their manager but he was western, and we talked but then they left without saying goodbye and I was sad hahahaha, (I don’t think this has any symbolic significance) i did wake up feeling disturbed though, eery vibes from them all cuz they didn’t seen like themselves...very lifeless
What are your thoughts on this? If i took the Priest’s analysis to heart then I would also think nothing was wrong with idol but he has a point...they don’t say in the song explicitly titled ‘IDOL’ to worship them,, considering their fame and position rn this was an opportunity for that right? But they didn’t...little things like that make me doubt the occult thing a lot...
But I wonder how the priest would react to BST mv lol and if he says nothing about THAT then we know he isn’t very credible...
If you have based your entire occult/demonic theory on BST I have some good (or perhaps bad depending on your POV) news for you. Your presumption that Tae is a fallen angel/possesed is wrong.
This is going to be long but please read through it...
BTS's entire concept is fighting against the kpop industry/system from the start. Bang PD created bighit because he was sick of being restricted and to allow his trainees to have artistic freedom. That is why the boys write, compose and produce their own music. It's what sets them apart from the majority of the other Idols and why the industry tried so hard to silence them. BST is a continuation of this. It is calling out the industry.
The opening scene is of the boys playing around (riding bikes/slingshots etc) while dressed up nicely in a museum/art gallery like setting. They are clearly just kids playing dress up. (Also explains the concept pics - not pedo related) Jin is drawn to the painting. Him tilting his head to look at things, which he does often is significant. He is looking at things from a different angle, slowly seeing things that the industry doesn't want him to see. Jin isn't a time traveller, dead or any other thing that has been theorised. He represents the general public, the fans, ARMY. That is why he has the earpiece in, because the industry is telling him what they want him to believe. In the onstage prologue, the authority figure is telling him that the boys are blacklisted but he rejects that and puts on a vest with the boys signifying the birth of BTSxARMY. It is also why he always sees them through a lens, taking pics and video of them. It is what we as fans do. He sees them the way that we see them, always happy and having fun. If you watch the WINGS era mv you will see that any of the bad stuff doesn't happen when he is around them.
Back to BST, the mv is about temptation. The older guys represent the industry. They are trying to train the younger boys the same way that they have been trained because that is how it has always been done. Tae is an artist (graffiti) he is talented and wants to share his gifts with the world but the industry doesn't allow him this freedom. He needs to conform to their ideal of what an Idol should be. Therefore, they clip his wings. You see him constantly climbing onto high surfaces because he wants to spread his wings and fly. You also see him struggling in water, because he is drowning in the constraints of the industry. He is constantly fighting against it. You can see his duality in the mv when his expressions change. He also tries to get Jin to see through the illusion. He knocks down the house of cards that Jin builds in Run and it is only after Jin starts to see that something is wrong that he emerges from the water at the end of the mv.
In BST Jap version, you can see that JK's wings have also been clipped. Jimin runs from YG because he thinks that he isn't good enough to be an idol but in the end he gives in to temptation (apple) and the other version of him which symbolises his warring conscious is swept away.
Hoseok craves something sweet, the reason why he always has chocolate. The sweet thing that he craves is becoming an idol but the industry is 'too evil' because he needs to conform to their ideal to be accepted. He is associated with Eva because of the sacrifices his mother had to make to allow him to follow his dream.
In BST the boys all cover Jin's eyes, trying to hide what goes on behind the scenes. When Jin kisses the statue, symbolising his acceptance of the illusion of what the perfect idol should be, cracks appear and the boys blood, sweat and tears seep through.
This is a long, yet very brief overview. There is a lot more but the main message is that the boys are fighting against what the kpop industry ideal is. Fake Love, the notes and Idol are all part of the same message. The ending scene in the extended version of Fake Love where the boys are surrounded by the anonymous cloaked backup dancers then emerge dressed as one of them but with embellished robes and masks (birth of idols) is basically telling you that the industry doesn't care about the individuals behind the masks, they just care about the illusion that is presented to the fans. The stone wall falling is the final curtain drop at the end of a performance, but this curtain is solid rock and the audience is prevented from seeing what goes on behind the scenes.
Once you see past the whole fallen angel/time travel trope that has become popular you will see their actual message. Go back and watch the music videos from this perspective, taking into consideration all the struggles the boys have been through and you will see that it all makes perfect sense.
Please feel free to ask if anything is unclear, like I said there is a lot more, this is just a brief summary.
