Should we declare gods public enemy # 1.? Do you understand why we call immoral gods, “Gods”?

Actually Christian iconography litters a lot of public spaces and The Temple of Satan was just trying to make a point.
Christianity was the dominant faith, at one time-- advising people to refrain from theft and murder was not viewed as a bad thing. Can't really say that is true today-- the degradation of society is quite evident, so yes... their point was made.

Regardless I didn't just mean government authorities, but church authorities.

Also let's not forget that just a couple months ago the Trump regime was using Romans 13 to justify child stealing.
Church authorities like Rome, or the leaders of the megachurches, have been preaching a false gospel since their inception. It's their purpose. They serve as mouthpieces for the world powers... just like the politicians who twist scripture to serve their own ends. The true Gospel is the enemy of the state-- if they could make the bible illegal, like China did (only state approved versions are permitted), they would.

I don't think Gods should be public enemy number 1. In my favorite school of Gnosticism, the demiurge isn't good or evil. It is the head of the psychic world. Virtually perfect in its ability to rule over matter. But is basically a crybaby about some perceived imperfection. It knows it's just an animal spirit.

What I'm saying is these types of demigods aren't purely spiritual. Like God is actually supposed to be. So in this specific Gnostic cult followers are given 3 options. You can be materialistic and burn in the fires of your own grossness. Or you can embrace the animal spirit and hang out in the psychic world with the demiurge. The last and best choice is to choose to be a pure spirit.

Only the purely spiritual person can be freed from these tombs we call "bodies".
The way I read Gnostic Christianity is that the demiurge is evil.

That is why we created our myth. To put a good god above Yahweh.

You seem to have some supernatural leanings and you might remember that Gnosis is to tell you what you can know for a certainty. You cannot know anything about the supernatural, not even that it exists.

Reading Gnostic Christian myths literally is as bad as reading the Christian myth literally.

I hope you can see how intelligent the ancients were as compared to the mental trash that modern preachers and theists are using withthe literal reading of myths.

Rabbi Hillel, the older contemporary of Jesus, said that when asked to sum up the whole of Jewish teaching, while he stood on one leg, said, "The Golden Rule. That which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the Torah. And everything else is only commentary. Now, goand study it."

Please listen as to what is said about literal reading.

"Origen, the great second or third century Greek commentator on the Bible said that it is absolutely impossible to take these texts literally. You simply cannot do so. And he said, "God has put these sort of conundrums and paradoxes in so that we are forced to seek a deeper meaning."

Matt 7;12 So in everything, do to others what you would havethem do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

You're all over the place mate.
That quote is easily understood..doing to others as you would do to yourself is bout realising we are all one.
The law of Moses is about breaking down the false self...the personality..that is the first step, not the end.

It has nothing to do with literal interpretation.

Moses, not that he ever existed, had many laws and without you showing which law you are talking about, I cannot comment.

I name my god the way he did his. Do you? Do you understand what he meant?

Silly, silly statement, the American Evangelical community views the first amendment as the right to practice Christianity only, they openly state as much.

Do they?
Did you find that statement on the GnosticTimes Op-Ed page?

Or are you just condemning people for having a problem with satanism?

Well, I don't know what you are reading. But there is really no other way to interpret Valentinianism. Symbolically or literally basically means the same thing there. Maybe it's more accurate to say there is no literal version. Or an acting out of said beliefs so to speak. This is a Gnostic school that primarily deals with the "inner" world.

"Ye are from the beginning immortal and children of eternal life, and desire to divide death amongst you like a prey, in order to destroy it and utterly to annihilate it, that thus death may die in you and through you, for if ye dissolve the world, and are not yourselves dissolved, then are ye lords over creation and over all that passes away."

Also, this form of Gnosticism borrows greatly from the Egyptians. So I don't know if I would call it a Christian myth.

This feels an awful lot like "proving too much". And that's a fallacy. Furthermore, I don't think you can teach me about Judaism. I'm still waiting for one Jewish person to show up and tell me what I don't know.

Indeed.

In that/our inner world, we are to disrespect Yahweh enough to do as Jesus bids us to do and depose him by taking the judgement seat within us. That happens when we attain apotheosis and a Christ consciousness.

That is what I read in these.

Here is the real way to salvation that Jesus taught.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Allan Watts explain those quotes in detail.

Joseph Campbell shows the same esoteric ecumenist idea in this link.

The bible just plainly says to put away the things of children. The supernatural.

Valentinianism.
The Valentineous writing I have read seem to show them as being hip deep into the supernatural while I do not believe that there was anything supernatural in Gnostic Christianity. That is also the case with other Gnostic Christian sects. Sure our myths have a lot of supernatural in them but they were written specifically to put against the Christian myth when everyone knew that nothing could be known of the supernatural and before literal reading of myths reared it's ugly Christian head.

Please take the time to listen to these two short links, but regardless, Gnostic Christianity is based on Gnosis and knowledge of nature and we do not hold any supernatural beliefs. That would make us no better than Christians and all who know our ideology know that the only good Christian is a Gnostic Christian.

This is like New Age dogmatism or something. Either way, it's dogmatism and I don't subscribe to that.

I think you should read Socrates or Plato. Like the allegory of the cave.

Been there and done that.

When I left, forced my apotheosis, I learned that there was nothing in the supernatural world for us, even if it existed.

All I do and promote is old age, not new age.

Strange though, Gnostic Christians take pride in being esoteric ecumenists, and here you are, one who is supposed to be a perpetual seeker, or you should be if you are gnostic Christian inclined, yet you are not taking that attitude with one who you should see as your own.

Oh well. Stay in your own cave. It has fewer windows than mine.

"In that/our inner world, we are to disrespect Yahweh enough to do as Jesus bids us to do and depose him by taking the judgement seat within us. That happens when we attain apotheosis and a Christ consciousness."

Isaiah 14

"12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;"

1: Looks like you have at least one other person in agreement with you. I'm sure he likes your comments ;-)

2: To show disrespect for somebody you simultaneously deny is just silly - I have never started a thread attempting to disrespect and depose the Easter Bunny!!!!

He is not a part of an immoral religion that is hip deep into homophobia and misogyny and responsible for a lot of needless harm.

Thanks for showing hopw you stupidly believe in the supernatural.

Your attempts to equate belief in a reality beyond the material realm with low intelligence are not really making much of an impact, I'm afraid, Mr Bishop.

As I have both personal experience and knowledge that gives me frequent confirmation for a world view that incorporates the supernatural, you will as easily persuade me of mere materialism as you would of there being no such place as England*.

Yeah... I've never heard of John "Gondola"... and there is no mention of his faith.

Tony Perkins-- nope. He says this, in direct contradiction to your claim:

We must promote and defend religious liberty as a human right for all faiths to be able to live freely wherever they are and whoever they are
.

The last guy is the only one who mentions 1st amendment rights in your single sourced testimony.

"A" for effort though.
